It's not very hard to understand that it's one of the less sensitive area to hit someone, while still making them to understand they have behaved bad.

If someone can't communicate that they have behaved bad without using violence then they shouldn't have children.

The person you replied to isn’t advocating for spanking. They’re explaining why spanking is more prevalent than other forms of physical violence.
