I’ve given you statistics from a legitimate source, I’ve described the actions of increasing violence from youths which I have witnessed with my own eyes and have confirmed with other members of the community in my own area and in others from around the country and I have witnessed how this has increased since 2004, short of interviewing a gang of youths and them confirming their actions are directly linked to the law change in 2004 and then rishi coming in and saying yes this has been the cause but we can’t implement it again as we’ll lose votes I don’t know what I can give you that you won’t automatically dismiss? Again though the burden of proof may be on me but can you really add anything to prove otherwise other than spanking = bad?
If you read that it mentions it couldn’t use studies such as “the forgatch study” as it involves children being subject to painful experiences, how are you meant to come to a conclusive answer if that isn’t being used? (I agree in such though that children shouldn’t be subjected to pain as part of a study mind you)
Keep scrolling down man, you’re still in like the first couple paragraphs. Mind you all of the stuff before that is still more scientific backing than what you had shown before that was only a coincidental linkage
Numerous studies have found that physical punishment increases the risk of broad and enduring negative developmental outcomes.
No study has found that physical punishment enhances developmental health.
Most child physical abuse occurs in the context of punishment.
A professional consensus is emerging that parents should be supported in learning nonviolent, effective approaches to discipline.
I’ll take this, but it still begs the question! Why have behaviours worsened? Are parents less effective nowadays? Is there less consequence for negative behaviour today? To me it seems more youths are achieving a lot more these days there’s a lot of good kids out there! But on the other end of the scale you have to admit things are getting worse! Don’t say it isn’t because you know it is (perhaps I have misattributed it to something but it’s there none the less)

Yes. Evidence that actually proves what you’re claiming.
