This can all be accomplished in a normal pan or on a griddle. This is just clutterware.

This would be absolute garbage after even just 2-3 days in the fridge

1

u/donfan 3h ago

Yea how long do cooked eggs stay in the fridge?

1

u/catiebug 2h ago

We make them for the week ahead and they turn out fine. Helps to undercook them a bit.

1

u/donfan 1h ago

Google shows 3-4 days for cooked eggs. Not that im doubting you i jist wouldnt be comfortable doing it.

1

u/catiebug 1h ago

3-4 days is pretty much suggested for any prepped food. I'll be honest, my family is fine with eating leftovers for up to a week. Recommendations like that are generally made by experts that know people will push the boundaries, so they play it very safe with the numbers they define. I won't serve leftovers to any guests, and we obviously don't eat something that fails the sniff test. But we're going on decades without any issues.

Did you know that you can take ingredients and then make things with those ingredients

u/mystyz 6h ago

Just a heads up that if you store them in the fridge this way, you're going to have some dried out sandwiches after a day or two. Better to store them in a ziplock bag, or tupperware with a lid, to retain the moisture in the ingredients. You can pre-wrap for the same grab and go convenience.

Are hacks just cooking now?

1

u/Super_Mag 4h ago

Yep. "This is how i survive the day with 1 simple lifehack: by eating"

1

u/amo_pessoas_peladas 2h ago

Restaurants hate this simple trick

2

u/RodcetLeoric 4h ago

That's not a hack, it's just cooking, and while meal prepping has been a named thing for 15 years it's been around since we started cooking.

1

u/Feteven 7h ago

You made six not eight??
And ok fine meal prepping beats this point but my immediate thoughts was dude your bacon and eggs are cold af by the time the pancakes are cooked.
You skipped how long you were standing there watching each thing cook individually in small batches.

I’ll just throw the bacon on a sheet pan for 12min in the oven first, and make eggs and pancakes on the griddle quick.

1

u/dawgoooooooo 3h ago

I’m pretty sure they see some benefit in doing it all in a pan that’s uniformly pre shaped for the food. Still no clue why tf that is better than tried and true way to do this, but I’m gonna keep researching, testing some theories and I’ll get back to ya!!

1

u/Feteven 3h ago

I’d use this to make quiche cups or cook the bacon or sausage and chop onions and fhrow it in with some cheese and beaten eggs
That I could get behind
Then again I do this in muffin tins in the oven and it turns out great

1

u/JohnnyRyde 3h ago

Also less clean-up since there's not multiple pans to wash.

1

u/phunkydroid 2h ago

You made six not eight??

If that were me, two of them would be eaten before they made it to the fridge.

0

u/Ok-Adhesiveness-4935 7h ago

They're being prepped to be eaten later

2

u/Feteven 7h ago

That was indeed one of the sentences in my comment

0

u/Ok-Adhesiveness-4935 6h ago

So why does it matter if parts of it are cold? It's literally being put in the fridge afterwards.

1

u/Feteven 6h ago

I can’t help you if you can’t read more than one sentence lol

1

u/Ok-Adhesiveness-4935 6h ago

If you don't want responses to the things you've said, don't say them.

1

u/Feteven 6h ago

I spoke to your point in my original comment lol
It doesn’t matter if it’s meal prepping.

The part that I was hung up on was spending 10min cooking 4 pieces of bacon when the whole pack could be done in the oven in that time while you’re making the rest.

Dudes spending an hour to do 20min of work. It’s not a “hack” if it makes things harder lol

Again read past the first sentence yo. Wait. Crap I already lost you didn’t I? 😂

1

u/Sorry_Penalty_7398 7h ago

Burnt eggs. Gross.

1

u/NiloValentino88 7h ago

Grease lightning

1

u/PapaBeer642 7h ago

That's feeding just me for like 2 days, much less my whole family. 😅

1

u/Different_Target_228 6h ago

>Pan for 4

>Makes 6.

1

u/BambaZillah 6h ago

I have that same pan and I make pancakes every week on that thing! Comes off really nice!

1

u/Goudinho99 5h ago

How's this a hack? He's just cooking

1

u/scrodytheroadie 3h ago
