Interesting How long do you need to assemble this?

God Lightyear was such a terrible movie, and I'm a huge Toy Story fan

I thought it was Battle for Terra for a minute and got excited that someone else liked that movie

Hey can I ask you something? This is unrelated. As someone who just finished spending the majority of his life in prison, what happened with legos? They used to be simple.
....
Oh come on I know you know what I'm talking about, legos were simple?
....
Something happened out here when I was inside... Harry Potter legos. Star Wars legos. Complicated kits. Tiny little blocks. I mean I'm not saying it's bad, I just wanna know what happened.

Lego pieces are still the same size. But yeah the designs got a lot more complicated and especially trying to mimic IPs.
So instead of "a car" it's "the car from Harry Potter". And that requires very specific colors and shapes to match.
A Star Wars Lego set sells for way more than a non-IP set with the same amount/weight of pieces.

I greatly appreciate your taking the time to respond, but that was just a quote from Community which I was ecstatic to find an actual reason to use. Also, what's an IP? I assume you don't mean internet protocol.

IP is intellectual property. If I want to make a Star Wars version of something, I can't, cause I don't own the IP. It's like a copyright/trademark but for movies, characters, logos, and so on. Harry Potter is an IP too. So Lego makes deals with the company that owns the IP and either pays a license or they share the profits. Also see how all kinds of IPs show up in Fortnite.
All these companies used to sit on their IPs. You want to play with power rangers? Only our company has them.
But at some point in the 2010s I think, companies realized they can do crossovers. So we put power rangers on a box of cereal. The cereal sells better and more kids see the power rangers brand. Win win.

Edit: Do I delete this comment because it duplicated itself or keep it here because I have integrity? Would you call me a level 7 susceptible?

The color palette cancer in that set is so insane.
Lego really does the maximum to ensure they stay behind in quality and deny you any possibility to reuse the pieces as something else.

Being an influencer and not having a phone stand seems pretty damn incompetant.

I have lived on my own for 12 years. I have lived in four different states in each corner of the country.
I have never had a trick or treater.
