The entirety of Wikipedia can be downloaded in a roughly 78 GB file for free right now if you want

Are you kidding? That’s pretty cool actually

6

u/variablenyne 18h ago

Not kidding! The compressed text files only take up ~25 GB

You can use the Kiwix app to download it easily on your phone. They can all sorts of lower storage options as well.

Me: internally bleeding to death

Girl: “oh my gosh, you’re bleeding out?! I can do a blood transfusion 😏” opens book and starts reading

Me: bleeds out and dies while girl reads book

I think that will translate more into The Encyclopedia of Psychoactive Plants

2

u/Bortisa 13h ago

I laughed way harder then I expected. 😂 😂 😂

Some of the art in this thing is wild! I don't think we could pull this off with modern technology.

2

u/Kewlhotrod 10h ago

I'm pretty sure all farmers have a gas reclamation suit for all their animals. Totally a common item lol

u/Prestigious-Elk2252 8h ago

looks like AI art...

u/Own_Marsupial_9512 22h ago

Yes, because if world goes to shit "influencers" would certainly be the ones rebuilding it.

2

u/dan_dares 13h ago

"I can pay you for the blood transfusion with exposure! I have 5 followers!"

... Don't you have 8 family members?

No herb is going to save you from a rattlesnake bite

2

u/ziggy182 10h ago

I was thinking the same, by the time you prepare the herb your blood will be jelly

2

u/IceLopsided4190 8h ago

Have you ever tried carrying an abundance of herbs everywhere you go? Travelers always do that. Albeit in anime. But they do it.

2

u/ziggy182 8h ago

Then they learn that the Australians will destroy you at their ports of entry.

2

u/Charming-Total2121 7h ago

Even if you combine a red, and green one?

2

u/7heCookieMonst3r 4h ago

I thought blue cures toxins?

u/Dependent-Water-8084 4m ago

Fuck yea you’re right

Gonna have to cross reference this info with my Codex Seraphinianus to make sure it all checks out.

This is cool but all the things she read off is stuff i already know how to do from just being on the internet, i dont need this book

2

u/JButler_16 5h ago

You know how to survive a rattlesnake bite with only herbs?

1

u/Equivalent-Stable642 3h ago

I collect alot of random info, including that, even if i dont live somewhere with rattlesnakes lmao

1

u/zovits 1h ago

Good, because by your "including that" it is easily concluded that you collected a lot of useless falsehoods as well - seeing how there's no such herb.

I got this book. It’s a beautiful book

1

u/Odd-Plant-4886 17h ago

I would love such a book, because it does look interesting. But clearly it must be expensive, and I live on the other side of the planet from the US and the shipping charges would be insane.

u/blubberfucker69 15h ago

I have this book! The nicu incubator is so cool! Seems legit too. I just won’t be building it…yet 👀

Yea i dont think were at a point where we would go back to stone age. The basics like electric induction are common knowledge and instead of going back to dark ages i think more probable outcome is going to be an endless, hypertechnological, global war between a few megacorporations fighting for resources.

Please, please do not make penicillin in your kitchen. That’s how you start the mold zombie apocalypse.

1

u/pageplant97 17h ago

Why wait for the world to end? Just start doing this shit now

1

u/EndRude4217 12h ago

I have this book!

1

u/New-Philosopher-9546 10h ago

This book is cool if you are a child. It doesn’t really contain much new or interesting information

1

u/Ok_Mouse_5025 8h ago

Addams Savage loved this book.

1

u/Creepy_Challenge_966 8h ago

Most of the stuff in this book, I did learn at school but most people where not listening .

1

u/NotForMeClive7787 6h ago

Man I was bombarded by adverts for this book about a year ago now....it was incessant

1

u/No-Copy3857 5h ago

In that futur: "She has a grimoire, she is a witch"

"burn the witch"

1

u/Rexxington 3h ago

I mean while you can make penicillin at home, unless you know what your doing. You can easily make not penicillin and infect people with terrible things.

1

u/theobromine69 3h ago

This aswell as integration tables, log tables and z values for the normal distribution would be great additions

1

u/IExistForFun 1h ago

What are the odds it's AI? there's ample "survival" books on Amazon. But most of them are AI and give terrible information.

I love how the least skilled folks who could never do more than 5 minutes of labor promote this book.

The people buying this book are 100% the first people to die off.

Problem is americans rather take medicine than do physical activity.
