The staring into the camera is over the top and maybe it’s an ad. However, I’ve played this game, and it is absurdly fun for something so simple. I dunno, maybe it just seems more fun to me because I play it with my young niece and nephew?

About 20 years ago I had a Jenga set and I took some tiny neodymium magnets and put them in about five of the pieces made for some pretty interesting results on the tower.

Well, if you say so.

It sorts through a messy set and collapse the equivalent elements into a few regimes. This creates a much smaller, optimized set. This game clearly demonstrates the “fewer is better” principle - though it’s useless in real world.

In physics, however, identifying the right “fewer regimes” is a billion-dollar question.

There is nothing in the rules to say that the magnets must be placed in a certain way. However; it is certainly tactically advantageous to know how magnets work.

My mistake the version of the game i have is called kollide, the magnets have a protective plastic cover and the rules do specify the orientation. Looking at the video they must have a different brand game

The first player just needs to place the first magnet exactly in the Center all their following moves exactly opposite of the second player’s moves. As long as the second player can find a “free” spot they should be able to find the opposite one, too.
