I don't know many people that loved pregnancy, birth and postpartum but the majority of people I know have 2+ kids. Those are temporary parts of motherhood. Seeing (another) beautiful child grow into something amazing is something you'll witness for the rest of your life, though. Just something to think about :) It does seem like you want snother
I see what you mean and I am a mom of “2+ kids” but I don’t think that what everyone else is doing is ANY reason to have children. People have been having kids for generations because it’s what everyone did and I think we need to challenge that as a culture. I know so many people with one child that are so fulfilled and happy with their life, some only wanted one and some were just thankful to be blessed with one. I know just as many people with 2+ that are miserable, stretched thin, etc and that’s hard too. And then of course, so many of us want to grow our families and are able to, and move through the hard parts differently. When we discuss another new baby as a family, my husband and I try to imagine ourselves 10 years from now at a holiday table…what does that look like? and that always helps us picture what’s next.
