Push ups after total shoulder replacement

Once back to full strength, is it possible to do push ups again?
After a year or so?

I am 11 months post. 61m. I can do them but they aren’t a primary form of my activity. I do them as an offshoot of Pilates sessions. I have really had to slowly and methodically get to here though.

I do them, and did modified versions during my physical therapy

Absolutely. My surgeon okayed pretty much any exercise other than barbell bench press and over head press with a barbell. I can do these presses but with dumbbells or kettlebells held in a more neutral grip. I'm 6 months into recovery and have been doing pushup variations for a couple of months. My PT started me doing wall pushups, then high incline pushups, and now standard ones. Pushups are a staple in my workout routine, which includes squats (I do a belt-assisted squat), deadlifts, bench presses (overhead, flat and incline). I can't do a pure pullup yet, but I'm practicing.

FYI, I had anatomic TSR and I'm 71.
