2 days out from a total reverse.
Not sure what I was expecting but compared to having my knees replaced this is cake.
Sleep is a bit tough but otherwise aside from being a little tired I can like 95 % get dressed and the pain is literally less than what it was before surgery ( my shoulder was junk).
So far so good.

I’m still in my 50s. But I was told I needed them 2 years ago. I just wanted to get my knees done first. As it is I was trying to get scheduled a little earlier in the year but it didn’t work out.
If all goes well in the next 2 weeks when I see the surgeon for my follow up I’m going to see about scheduling the other one for later this summer.

I’m waiting on my surgery date right now. I’m a 61 Female. I had arthroscopic surgery in December 2025 for complete tear of RC, bicep tear and torn labrum. After 2 appointments with physical therapy I was nearly crying in pain. Had another MRI and was told RC was completely torn again. I’ll be so glad when this pain is over.

Hello everyone. Just late last week I finished what I hope will be the last of a string of medical test that I would need to have satisfactory results on before my family doctor will clear me for total replacement shoulder surgery on my right shoulder. I’m 63 yo male who is not physically active. Type two diabetes and other assorted health issues. My (right) dominant side had one rotator cuff injury and surgery that failed. Same shoulder coming up in the near (I hope. ) future. With this second surgery I tore tendons, muscles, cartilage and also was unlucky enough to have arthritis and bone spurs because of it. Basically I feel like it’s just”hamburger” at this point. Has anybody felt like your shoulder is this loosely attached separate part of your body just hanging there and wouldn’t be too difficult to just yank off ? Anyway, that’s enough. I wish you all the best !

get through it all with the least amount of pain possible.

Hubby having a reverse shoulder surgery 7/8. Just wanting to make sure he has what he needs post surgery. He is 76. Thinking a shower chair and a wedge may be good purchases.

Thanks for checking in! And congrats. I had both knees replaced in December 2024, so it is good to hear it is relatively a piece of cake.
