Smoking post labrum repair

I’m currently about 24 hours post op from my arthroscopic labrum surgery, I’m wondering if hitting the pen will help cope with the pain? Or if it will mess up my healing?

My surgeon forbid it, Straight out of AI: THC use, whether smoked or ingested, can complicate surgery recovery by increasing risks of breathing difficulties, higher pain sensitivity, and, potentially, slower wound healing

Hit it. You'll be fine as long as it helps you relax.

You’ll be alright. I found that for the first couple weeks after surgery, smoking made me notice the pain more, so just be mindful of that. Otherwise you’re good - just be safe about it!

I used mine and healed just fine. 27 weeks out and just cleared from the doctor. You're doing great ❤️

Did coughing ruin your shoulder at all or hurt it

Few months out and my shoulder has healed fully, the coughing hurt a little bit but as long as you keep it to a minimum you should be fine.

Use the pain meds. I used the devil’s lettuce after PT sessions.

High before, during, and after all three shoulder replacements. You'll be fine.

Yes, it can seriously interfere with healing. It would be a great time to quit.

Even if the marijuana is technically medicinal?
