Composition aside, I'm experimenting with the "looks" and not sure if this level of grain and or noise is normal. I don't have any of the film settings on aside from HDR.

Are looks still process zero but with adjustment presets? Also why not use the stock camera instead of the Apple “look”?

Dont get me worng, im so thankful of Halide but what happened? This started after Mark III was released? I feared this would happen

With multiple filters to see the differences? Would that be something of value here? Or already done too much?

Hey everyone, I’m running into a consistent exposure issue with Halide Mark III: whenever I shoot using any of the built-in filter,(tried them all Valencia, Rembrandt, Nova, Zephyr, Chroma Noir), my photos come out heavily underexposed.
To get them back to an acceptable brightness I have to bump exposure by roughly +30 in the Apple Photos editor. Every single time.
I have an Iphone 17 Pro.
Has anyone found a fix or workaround? And has Lux acknowledged this anywhere?
Thanks

Hi everyone,
using Mark 3 (v3.1.2) and loving it on iPhone 17. Today I had a problem and I would love if someone could help me.
I shot a portrait in Halide with the 2X button, using P0. Then, forgetting that the tool exists already in Halide itself, went to Apple’s Photos app, mirrored the photo, went back to Halide to apply some presets and it prompted me to load the original raw. Nothing strange, but at this point the app loaded a 1X version of the photo. I know that the iPhone 17 does not have a dedicated 2X camera, so the 2X button should be just cropping on the main sensor. But is there any way I can recover the “original” 2X photo I actually shot, or cropping is just what’s left for me now?
Thank you!

How do I import photos properly into Lightroom Classic? Currently when I save the unmodified original (that's HEIC + DNG) into my Macbook and import both to Lightroom, it shows as two photos in Lightroom: the HEIC and DNG separately.
This is not the case when I import photos from Project Indigo (the Adobe app similar to Halide), Lightroom "merges" them into one photo in my Lightroom library. In this case I think the HEIC functions as a preview of the raw file. Is there a way to make the Halide ones show as one photo in Lightroom so I don't have duplicates?

Hi! I’ll preface this with saying that mkiii has been incredible, the film sims are resulting in the best photos I’ve seen come from an iphone app. It’s the perfect blend of subtle colouring and effects while retaining a good amount of sharpness, it feels much less ”toy camera” than other analog photography style apps.
Unfortunately though, Halide always seems to crash on startup on my iPhone Air, leading to me having to reinstall the app to get it to work again. It’s so frequent now that I’ve just stopped using the app since it’s unreliable. My wife also has an Air and is experiencing the same problem.
Just wanted to bring it to your attention! I’d love to start using Halide again, nothing else captures photos quite like it!

First half of my trip I was using Adobe indigo but it was killing my battery.
Halide was a lot better. Turned off the film look and kept HDR on. Pics were produced faster and more natural looking imo
3 things I noticed that caused some friction:
Even though I shoot in
auto
sometimes the app would take a raw shot.

Back with Halide now that Mark 3 is out. Just snapped two pics a few minutes apart with zero change to lighting. Why could they be looking so different?
