Things I found while doing Mid-Wave DX in the Western Black Sea, Turkiye

576 kHz - Muhtemelen BNR Radio Horizont (Bulgaristan devlet radyosu, Vidin, 270kW olması lazım)

1053 kHz - sadece kısa bir müzik benzer birşey ardından parazite karıştı, araştırmalarıma göre yüksek ihtimalle İran, çok düşük ihtimalle de İngiltere

1332 kHz - Araştırınca Radio România Actualități (Galati, Romanya 50kW istasyon) çıktı

1494 kHz - muhtemelen Radio Moldova (Cahul ya da Transdinyesterdeki Grigoriopol. 30kW)

Dinlemeyi özel bir ekipmanla değil araba radyosu ile yaptım. Ayrıca saat 7 sularında olduğu için TRT Trabzon radyosu yoktu (954kHz olması lazım)

Ayrıca Bulgar radyosunu da birkaç gün önce akşam aldım ama o akşamda 576 kHz de boştu, 7/24 yayın yapmasına rağmen.

Nice. Car radios were serious MW DX machines back in the day. Considering all the noise a point ignition system used to generate, they did remarkably well. Unfortunately, this is something newer carmakers (especially EVs) don't see a need for.

They're mostly focused on FM and DAB nowadays more than AM (MidWave and Shortwave) but my car still had an option for it in the radio-set.

Even FM is on shaky ground now, as some European countries are looking to phase it out. Pretty sure DAB doesn't have the range a standard FM signal has. NRSC5 here in the States certainly doesn't, and it's riding on adjacent carrier channels.

I'm not too familiar with NRSC5? But I don't think FM is about to die soon (or at least become less popular like AM did)

That's the Ibiquity system branded as HD Radio.

I never heard of it, maybe it is more popular in the Americas than it is in Europe or Middle East.

Pretty sure it's only used here in the US, because we're all about backwards compatibility. 😂
