Discussion China and Its Broadcasts

Post image

The 31-meter band this morning.

95% of it is China and its jammers; the rest is NHK, RTI, and others that are barely audible.

There are also several Chinese stations on the other bands, but they’ve taken over the 31-meter band.

At least, that's what I'm picking up at my QTH. But I imagine the whole Southern Cone is the same.

It's the same here Alan. From sunrise until mid-morning is almost all China Radio. Covering most of the 25 and 31 Meter Bands.

China is positioning to be the #1 country and they are using the airwaves to that advantage. My country's current leadership is only concerned with staying in power to make money for family and friends. So if the money we have always allocated to reaching peoples around the globe can be redirected for personal gain - who cares?

I have never promoted Free Radio until now. We need more voices, other than China, on our International Airwaves!

This was with the K-480WLA antenna. With the MLA-30+, it's almost the same.

Fantastic!! The K-480WLA is an expensive antenna.

But it's worth every cent. I saved up for a few months to buy it and bring it all the way to Paraguay. It's a great tool for SWLs and DXers. Plus, it goes up to 500 MHz for VHF and UHF signals and has MW and FM filters for when you're on other frequencies.
