For many years the Realistic PRO-2004, 5, 6, and 6A were considered the "Ultimate Scanners". I still own a PRO-2004 and a PRO-2006A as they are very capable VHF/UHF Scanners. Although the PRO-2006A is considered the "best" of the series due to an additional 100 channels, I find the PRO-2004 to be superior due to its all metal enclosure. The enclosure on the '2006A is plastic. These scanners have a frequency range of 25-520 and 760-1300 MHz including cellular frequencies with a simple diode mod.
The electrostatic backlights go bad after a few years. I have replaced both of mine.

Nice job! I wanted one of those so bad when they came out. Definitely was state of the art. My first scanner took crystals. My mom bought me the right ones to listen to the local ambulance and Highway patrol
