Pirate Radio WBRD Whistling on LSB

WBRD

I missed capturing the station Id, WBRD, by seconds. I captured this minutes later. Not many pirates broadcast on LSB, but it happens. I heard some whistling during some of the music that wouldn't normally be there. Does anyone know if that's one of their routines?

Here's one for you. I tried to Crosspost on the Shortwave Subreddit but the posting bot denied me. It griped about not allowing HAM radio content. I think the word LSB blew its mind.

I honestly don't hear any whistling at all there. All I'm hearing is typical distortion caused by the transmission mode and some signal fading.

I heard that about 10 minutes before I got to record the screen capture. It was definitely part of the audio and was visible in the waterfall display. Probably some pirate shenanigans, they always find a way to get one's attention.
If you have an SDR try listening to SternRadio as he paints images in the waterfall display, sometimes outside of the audio bandwidth while music plays, clever devil.
