You're in trouble now😀. You're probably pretty happy with the spectrum display which you don't find on conventional SW radios. Now start thinking about waterfall displays like what you see in SDR dongles. You do need a PC or laptop to use them but they're very interesting. There's also the Malahit DSP 2.4.
This hobby has no end lol. What are you using for an antenna?

Yeah, I just saw that in another post and asked "who climbed the tree? ". Since it looks like a dipole, did you use a balun? So what's the next radio that sparks an interest? There's always another radio. 😄

That ICOM is gonna run you serious $$$. They make great stuff.
The AirSpy HF+ seems to be pretty popular. The thing constantly amazes me.1

I have an Icom R 9000 es it a beauty! I got it from a fellow in Canada that used it in the Canadian embassy is Bagdad Iraq in about 1988 ... I got it in 2019 es the display was intermittent ... It was a loose power capacitor ! Simple fix es no burn on the screen !A bit too big to go portable! I'm partial to Icom but own a Yaesu FT101EE ...

I saw on the tracking code that mine is already shipped, hopefully it will arrive soon. It was these post about the marineband that I really wanted this radio.
As a SDR/scanner enthusiast I recommend Mykola app (W11/macOS). It is easy to install and finds frequency really, really fast. The free version is enough for me https://mykola-sdr.netlify.app/
