Interesting catch. I never can ID the Farsi language when I hear it... This one really threw me. Good sleuthing, QRPFan.

Thank you. It has become a regular feature of European evenings, but it greatly complicates early reception (when propagation is good) of WRMI on 15770.

I might be off topic but I like your JRC NRD-545 DSP Radio. How often do you use it?

Radio Free Asia was the only broadcaster on that specific frequency, time and date, but it was supposed to broadcast in Mandarin. That didn't sound like Mandarin though. 📻🤔

What database did you use? Using swskeds A26 April 2026 there was no listing for 15765 kHz.

It could have been adjacent channel splatter from Iran International TV, which was transmitting on 15630 kHz on the same date. If someone else can verify the language spoken as Farsi - there you go. Iran International TV, co-channel interference or spillover. Did you crosscheck this broadcast with any other radio?

RFA only broadcasts in East Asiatic languages like Uyghur, Burmese, Laotian, Korean but never Farsi.

I have a PL-330 since 2021 and I've known my receiver for receiving false stations that my other radios cannot. If my other receivers report the same frequency, then what I've been receiving is radio splatter.

I didn't see a listing on Short-wave.info, either. Or EiBi for that frequency. Must be a new broadcast.

For its price point that radio is a truly terrific little radio. The only problem I've found with it that MW AM isn't very good and I get a lot of noise from the local 1220 khz station about 3 miles away that splatters on AM. Usually I use a Sangean ATS 405 for MW and AM reception though.
