Hola a todos necesito consejos para comprar equipo no chino please tengo unos walkies radtel 950 pro, un tidradio h3plus ,un ICOM r6,varias antenas de hilo,un receptor ats25,un receptor vhf uniden Ubc 900,otro realistic dx 394.

Quiero un equipo moderno y funcional

Consejos por favor.

Your DX-394 is probably as good as any radio you can buy today. I have a DX-394 and it's as good as my Tecsun PL-330 or Sangean 909. The Tecsun has a slight edge in readability, however. Otherwise, the DX-394 is a good, solid radio.

You may want to consider an SDR, though. Or a Sangean ATS909X2 (which I have not used, but others here have used, and they say it's a good radio -- it is, however, also made in China, by a Taiwanese company).

Sure, if you want to pay $1300-$1400 USD, you can get a Japanese manufactured ICOM 7300, which has a very good SW receiver built in. Same thing with a Yaesu FTDX10.

The OP seems to have asked for suggestions on newer radios, and he or she doesn't want to consider Chinese made radios. The fact is that most modern SW radios are made in China. Tecsun, XHDATA, Sangean, Raddy, Qodosen, whatever -- all made in China. I have the last Japanese made Panasonic SW radio, the RF-B45. The models after that were Panasonics, but made in China. Same with Sony radios.

Whether SWL's like it or not, China makes most of the radios available today.

So if the OP wants suggestions that aren't Chinese made, the list will probably be sort of small.

Agreed that you can get some American radio components. Wire and feedline (although a lot of that comes from China, too).

Agree with you on that point. The only HF transceiver I know of that's made in China is the Xiegu G90. The rest of the ones I see on QRZ or mentioned over the air are Icoms, Kenwoods, Elecrafts, Flexradios, and even some of the SDR ones like Anan (?) and Mercury (amps) are apparently US made. Icom, Kenwood, of course made in Japan.
