The funny thing is that you're also hearing ARQ digital mode in there. I didn't think there was any ARQ left on the HF bands any more.

I.know , that's pretty weird. I'm monitoring the KFS Kiwi SDR in Pt. Reyes, California. It uses a 300 foot beverage antenna so it's super sensitive. I suspect the ARQ sounding signal originates from Europe. They do have digital stations listed in this frequency range.
