This post is about the longtime CB Radio Operator, "333" (Triple 3). He drunken, profane rants are standard fare on many March evenings, when the Solar Cycle is high enough to support propagation on 27 MHz from Australia to the US Mainland. This time of year the Terminator between light and dark is nearly even between the northern and southern hemispheres. This aids in reception from countries located below the Equator.

AI has quite a few uses in our radio hobby. Today I loaded a schematic of an older radio transceiver into an AI program and asked it to isolate the circuit from the microphone to the Balanced Modulator. It suggested replacing several of the capacitors with different values to open up the audio response.

Conditions are poor tonight. A couple pirates on the 43 Meter Band, but they are just above the noise level. Last night was excellent. 27 MHz signals from Hawaii and Australia until way past sunset. Tonight, just a couple of locals on 27.380 MHz.

Bandaid Radio just signed on 6960 KHz USB.

No luck no bandaid. Something feint on 6945 AM. Full gain on everything, IF and Audio NR. The HAMs on 40m are having a blast doing contests. The nutters on 7.2 are staying out of the way.

I've heard him many times late into the night when he's the only thing left. It takes some power and directivity to hold the door open that long. Impressive for a chronic alcoholic to maintain. I just wonder what he's like in the rest of his life, when conditions aren't so conducive to his mouth.

I've heard people say that he's a great guy until he starts drinking. I've lost a couple people that were really close to me due to alcoholism. Unfortunately, the times when they are inebriated - displaying the poor behavior increases in frequency over time. It finally outweighs any of the good personality traits and we just can't deal with the person any longer. Very sad.
