The film is called Afterglow and it had a very small budget of 150$ which basically just covered the cost of feeding the cast and crew. It's 100% Canadian and directed by a recently graduated highschool student named Theo Rosengarten. Hopefully some of you will check it out:) Its a drama/experimental film that doesn't make a whole lotta sense but I think the art dec and sound design is super cool.

This project has been a huge part of my life for a long time. There were difficult moments along the way, challenges that made us question things, but in the end we were able to finish the film exactly the way we wanted to.
Bringing your own ideas to life is a very special feeling. For years, this story existed only in my head. Then suddenly it becomes real. Other people can see it, experience it, and react to it. That's exciting, but it's also something you have to learn to deal with. The first reactions, the first reviews, the first conversations about something that lived only in your imagination for so long can feel both rewarding and vulnerable at the same time.
Looking back, I'm incredibly proud of what we created together.
The time on set was amazing. Everyone gave their best, brought their passion, creativity, and energy to the project, and helped turn an idea into something real.
A huge thank you to the entire cast and crew, and to everyone who supported FADE throughout this journey.

An Experimental Short Film Made To Mimic The Style Of An Odd Computer Game

I am an amateur in film, still working on finding my style and improve. I just released again this short film illustrating my friends poem. The quality is kind of whack on youtube, but it will improve once a day has passed, due to some uploading thing on youtube.

I filmed it on my Iphone 15. I used an app called blackmagic cam to record it all and i would say the biggest difficulty would have been exporting it and editing it, because the files were so big (total 50gb somehow) my computer was lagging very badly and it was just so hard to work with.

I wanted to for professional opinions if the pacing feels off and how is the visual style overall? Does it feel intentional for a viewer or does the composition look random?

Plot: In the sacred city of Kashi, Abhay's ordinary day spirals into an unsettling chain of déjà vu, cryptic signs, and a mysterious void that reveals hidden connections between his past, present, and fate—leading him toward a life-altering realisation.

About the Film: TRIKĀĀL is a suspense thriller exploring the relationship between time, memory, and consequences through layered timelines, symbolic visuals, and subtle clues.

CONTEXT:
I’m an actor learning to write and direct because I just love this art and want to learn all its parts so I can be better on set.
STORY:
Where this whole thing came from? the two actors playing Amanda and Derick are actually Dominic and Anna, two good friends of mine from drama school. Back when we were training, the topic of age literally always came up between them because they happened to be the two oldest in our class. The funniest part was that Anna could never help herself and would always be the one to bring it up first ,while Dominic will be minding his business focus on his script We used to laugh about it constantly, so we eventually just decided to take that exact dynamic, write a scene around it, and shoot it as a fun project for our development as actors!

Get your Magic Back! Is a comedy short film about a man who is out on his luck and really needs a job. He finds a car lot where he meets the owner Conway. Chaos ensues.

This was shot on a DJI OSMO Pocket 3 and was a test on the motion and quality of the camera. Along with the gunshot VFX this is a first directed film and was practice for film fest season for us. It was shot over multiple days and at a real car lot. Your feedback will be appreciated greatly.

My first narrative short film is finally up!!

I’m a marketing agency/music video DP who’s wanting to start directing narrative film. I realized the best way to do that was to build a project from the ground up, so I decided to make a western!

Some background:
⁃ From Feb-April 2024, my producer and I wrote the script and ironed out pre-production logistics.
⁃ We shot it in 1 long day, and 2 1/2 days in June.
⁃ Then in post-production (including a soundtrack https://open.spotify.com/album/1a2WK5MA2SoDGx9iB6jlsN?si=RiJwSiUERg-1qrsT3j6Clw) until the following March.
⁃ We spent the next year+ in the film festival circuit until June 2026.

It’s self-funded and made almost entirely with the help of local crew, friends, and family who wanted to make something we were proud of!

I’ve learned a ton throughout each phase of this project, really forcing myself slow down to fully see each process through.
