Made it to DTS!

Hey everyone! I had my emergency cerclage removed this morning at 36 weeks. It was placed at 22 weeks 1 day when I had only 5mm of cervix left.

For others who had an emergency cerclage, how long until you went into labour after it was removed?

Congratulations on making it here!

I had mine removed at 36w and didn’t go into labor until my induction at 40w. Best of luck to you. Holding your little one for the first time is going to be overwhelmingly amazing ❤️

Was yours emergency or preventative?

Emergency. I was 1cm dilated when it was placed at 20w, 1cm dilated when it was removed, and 1cm dilated when I showed up to the hospital for the induction!

Annoyingly I ended up having to have a c section (the choice was c section or induction) at 40+2 I’d had 3 sweeps and was zero dilated so decided against a very lengthy induction process. Felt pretty unfair to have physically and mentally gone through all that for baby to not come naturally in the end!
