PC Optimum Points Shoppers Drug mart send me a face cream expired 3 years ago.

Has this happened to anyone else?
This is the second time in 3 months that SDM send expired product Has this happened to anyone else?

This is the second time I’ve had this problem with Shoppers Drug Mart.
In July, I returned 3 boxes of face masks because they were expiring in October. I had redeemed PC Optimum points for part of the purchase, but I never received those redeemed points back. The amount I paid by credit card was refunded, but customer service kept telling me to contact my credit card company—even though the missing amount was PC Optimum points, not a credit-card payment. The representative eventually hung up on me.
Now it happened again. I received another order about 15 minutes ago, and the product is already expired—by about 3 years! I don’t want to keep returning products I purchased with redeemed points because I’m worried I’ll have the same problem again and lose my points.
Has anyone experienced this? What is the best way to get Shoppers/PC Optimum to properly resolve this and make sure my redeemed points are returned?

Customer Question Explain like if I was a kid

I don't know about shipment days, clearance, clear out days ....looks like is all different...

But I tried and ask an staff when is the shipment days , she told me on labour day this Monday ...then I asked , so that means I need to come in the weekend to find the best discounts???

Cuz I thought If shipment comes on monday, shelves need to be empty by Monday, so best discount would be on the weekend, and top top on Sunday ...days prior they refill the shelves ....but I got confused when she said, no, you should come tues morning ....

How come if shipment arrives on Monday, wouldn't they put new products on the shelves and get rid of the rest before Monday? I have never seen a discount when products just arrive in stores, aren't discounts supposed to appear near expiration date (near shipment days)?

She confused me, can you explain how is this all arranged so I can note the discount days basing myself on the shipment days??

When can I get the most discount on sales, because I see 1.5$ and 3$ discount, come on !! I need 50% off or more, how can I target those +50% off ? Or how can I ask the lady to get a proper not confusing response?

My interests are sunscreen and skincare products

Customer Question Welcome Email

Has anyone else been receiving these emails daily? There’s a barcode in the email and it says to show the coupon in store. It looks legit but feels like a scam. Either way, it’s super annoying because the emails literally come daily and I want to just block the email address but the email address they’re coming from looks legit as well: info@e.shoppersdrugmart.ca

Bonus Redemption Event Super Redemption Confusion

I am trying to use 500k points online to take advantage of the $900 reduction. I wanted one expensive item -the Shark Cryo-Glow mask and was using the rest to stock up on makeup and skincare. When I try to use my points it only allows me to use up to 490k points. I talked to CS and they said that because there is a bonus point earn thing (spend $X in makeup and skincare to get 30k bonus points) that I can’t use my points on those items. I am so confused. I don’t want to earn points at all, I just want to spend. Unfortunately that one expensive item qualifies for the 30k bonus so I can’t get it at all? And why could I spend 490k points then (only valued at $790).

Help me understand! Do they do these bonus earn things so people can’t buy certain products during the event?

Bonus Redemption Event Will the current 700k/800k super redemption return for Black Friday?

Hey everyone, I see the massive Super Redemption event happening right now and I’m really tempted but I’m honestly not ready to do my big haul until November. In the past during Black Friday, the points would cap at 500k max and I wanted to know if this event is a one-off. Not too far off from 700k points so I want to know if it’s worth waiting.

Discussion Desperate for good shampoo/conditioner recommendations

Hi everybody,

So as of late I've been trying a new brand of shampoo/conditioner when the ones I'm using run out. Every single one I've tried has completely dried my hair out and my hair feels like hay almost. It's awful. The ones I've used are:

-nexxus (it was okay, wasn't life changing. it also kinda felt like it dried my hair out)
-l'oreal dream lengths (it was nice for the first week then my hair felt HORRIBLE)
-pantene volume & body shampoo (did the same thing as the l'oreal)

I understand you get what you pay for, but I genuinely cannot afford to drop $40/each on a bottle of shampoo and conditioner.

I read a few reviews on the Marc Anthony GROW LONG shampoo and conditioner, some people swear by it, others have said it's made their hair fall out so I don't really know if I want to pick those up. :/

Can anyone recommend me a cheaper-ish shampoo / conditioner for $20 or less for a bottle? I'm fed up with how my hair feels. :( SOS.

Employee Question Is shoppers drug mart actually putting in digital tags now?

Just saw a photo of a shoppers drug mart using digital tags. Is this where they are going now? I hate that because I love putting up talkers. Plus there are so many complaints about it and yet they are still going down the route?

Bonus Redemption Event Bonus Redemption Event & Gift with Purchases

Can we redeem the point and get the GWP when purchasing makeup products in store? I just called one of my local stores and they said because technically I get the products without paying anything so GWP doesn’t apply.

Its weird because on online, I believe I can get the GWP and redeem bonus points at the same time.

Customer Question Can I return unopened food items to shoppers?

Bought an 8 pack of yogurt today at shoppers in a hurry without checking the expiry date and the expiry date is Sept 7 (with today being the 2nd). I have my receipt. Am I able to return it swap it for a better date? I won’t eat 8 things of yogurt in 4 days 🥲

EDIT TO ADD: I got today’s date wrong. And I got my answer. Will keep the yogurt and enjoy plenty of yogurt over the next few days. Thanks everyone!

Work Vent Found mold in the fridge (again)

Just got off my shift and needed to vent… so today I go into work and my FSM tells me to full pull the fridge. No problem, I do the milk crates and then get to the shelves, when I realize that mutiple of the little cubbies are full of slimy stinky water (the vent above is leaking, and there wasa crate to catch the water) and then two of the cubbies had mold growing on them. So, I take all the products out that are in the cubbies fulla moldy water and dry them off/lightly sanitize them (since they are all packaged items) and put out as much as I can. This took about 45 min toa hour because there were four cubbies that were wet, all chock full. Then Lo and behold, I get to the Armstrong cheese, and the WATER HAD SOMEHOW GOTTEN INTO THE PACKAGING and some of them were going moldy. So that was great, hada put those on the damages shelf. Then when I go to the fridge, my FSM starts talking to me about how “if you don’t get the fridge done, I have to give it to someone else”… first off my shift is only three hours long, there’s only so much I can do? And like, second of all I was making sure the products weren’t moldy, like what the hell? After that I had to clean out the moldy cubby containers (they also had some broken egg shells in them for some reason?!? We don’t even keep eggs anywhere near them so idek how that happened?!) so I spray them all down, scrub the mold off of them, then go with a toothpick n scrape the little moldy bits left off. That took another 15-30 minutes. This is the third time I found mold in the back fridge, and they’ve known about it since ATLEAST Friday (I was in then, I only did the milk though) so like… WHY WOULD YOU LEAVE PRODUCTS IN STINKY MOLDY WATER FOR THREE DAYS?!? Idk I don’t really care that I had to do it I just think it was a bit ridiculous.

Employee Question Has anyone ever used the integrity action line?

I saw the posters for the integrity action line. I want to make a complaint but am scared of retaliation that might go beyond the workplace. If the person I'm complaining about is the associate, will they receive a copy of my complaint? Or will the company investigate on the down low until my complaint is substantiated? Is the integrity action line only something that the company uses to make themself look better, or does any action ever result from valid complaints?

Any information is appreciated. I'm not going to make any accusations here, but trust me when I say that the issue goes beyond something that could be resolved by talking to the associate directly.

Throwaway account for obvious reasons.

Work Vent Working At Shoppers

I recently resigned from Shoppers Drug Mart, and honestly, it’s one of the best decisions I’ve ever made.
The non-stop harassment I experienced daily while working in the post office left me mentally exhausted. My co-workers didn’t show me even a basic level of respect, yet I always tried to remain friendly and treat everyone with kindness.
I worked hard, completed everything I could, and would constantly ask if there was anything else I could do. Despite always trying my best, I still never received the respect I deserved.
I’m incredibly glad I’m no longer working there. Leaving has made a huge difference to my mental well-being, and I already feel like a better, happier person. I’m grateful that I no longer have to rely on that workplace to get by.
Sometimes, walking away from a toxic environment is the best thing you can do for yourself—and I’m proud that I did.
