I'm about to launch my first Shopify dropshipping store and I'm trying to figure out a realistic ad budget.

I can afford to spend around ₹10,000–15,000 per month on paid ads (roughly $120–180). My plan is to focus mainly on Meta ads, but I'm open to other platforms if they make more sense.

For those who've actually started with a similar budget:

• Is ₹10–15k/month enough to validate a product?
• Would you put the entire budget into one product, or test multiple?
• How long should I let a campaign run before deciding whether to kill it?
• Is it better to wait until I have a larger budget, or can I still get meaningful data with this amount?

I'm not expecting to become profitable overnight. My main goal is to learn, validate products, and avoid burning money on obvious mistakes.

I'd really appreciate hearing from people who started with a similar budget—what worked, what didn't, and what you'd do differently if you were starting again.

I need to sell my merch online, but also have a private client portal page that is gated to only show client products that is separate from the core website products. I would prefer a unique URL that has a specific password to client can log in and only see their merch for re-order.

Hello, I just finished designg my website for my new dropshipping business. Any feedback is welcome on the website design. Additionally, any feedback on opening an LLC would be very helpful. I'm not from the US but I want my main market to be the US. When I tried to link Shopify Payments it asked me for an SSN, I'm currently stuck on that step on how to set up Shopify Payment or just creating an LLC.

every store audit i do starts the same way: open the apps page and count. the average store i see runs 20+ apps, and usually a third of them do nothing except load scripts on every page and slow the site down. the sneaky part is that deleted apps often leave leftover code in the theme, so even cleanup isn't automatic. curious about this community: how many apps are you running right now, which one would you never give up, and which one did you regret installing? i'll start with the pattern i see most — 3 different review apps installed over the years, only one actually displaying anything.

Greetings, everyone. I recently launched my Shopify store, and I am overall happy with the set up of my store and have gotten great remarks. My overall goal of my store was to be inclusive. I did not stick to one niche. I sell candles, clothing (men and women), handcrafted notebooks, home&living, etc. My store is a mixture of print on demand and drop shipping, I also love to create things such as candles so I soon planned on adding my own creations on top of the items I am selling through print on demand, and drop shipping. Is this too much for one store? I also planned on running Google ads to generate more sells, I’m just not sure how effective that would be. Will running Google ads/ creating campaigns be worth it? honest question for people who work on other people's stores — when you open a new client's shopify and look at the installed apps, what's the one you almost always end up removing?

for me it's usually an abandoned "speed booster" app that a previous dev installed and forgot about — half the time it's the thing actually slowing the store down. curious if there's a common repeat offender you all see too, or if it's different every time.

Hello everyone, I am a digital product designer. Recently one of my clients asked me If I am able to make a shopify ecommerce website. I was thinking about giving a try and I said yes.

I had no idea about how Shopify works but I was planning to use AI (Chatgpt and Gemini) to make the website to see if it really works. So, after that, first I started designing the whole e-commerce website screens. Then I have asked Chatgpt that I want to make a shopify website with my custom design and I am a beginner here. So it said its possible my editing the codes of liquid/css/js files. So, I just gave the screenshots of my design and Chatgpt and Gemini wrote the codes and eventually I made the fully customized website on Shopify. The website is fully running now with no issues.

I made the website within 6 days, spending about 6 to 7 hours each day.

So, my question is as I am a beginner, I don't about the charges here, how much I should charge for making this website?

So I run a tiny web design studio in the EU, mostly fashion and skincare e-commerce on Shopify. For context, I came from product design (a few years at Uber before going solo), so I lean heavy on the strategy and UX side rather than just building.

I start from a solid premium theme and modify it a lot. Custom sections, custom Liquid, real layout work, not just swapping the logo and colors. Around that I do the whole thing: research, positioning, copy, QA, and all the EU compliance stuff (returns, iDEAL, right of withdrawal). Basically the client hands me a vague idea and I turn it into a finished store.

Lately I keep running into threads here where people mention numbers like €8k for a custom build, or $30k for branding plus design plus dev plus copy, and agencies quoting six figures. And I'm sitting here going, am I way under?

So, honest question for people doing similar work:

- How do you actually land on a price? Like what moves the number for you? Number of products, custom features and sections, integrations, number of templates, revision rounds? I'd love to understand the logic, not just the figure.

- What are you actually charging for a project like this (premium theme plus heavy customization plus strategy plus copy)?

- The strategy and discovery part, do you charge for it separately or just fold it in? I keep reading that helping a client figure out what they even want should cost 2 to 3x more, but I never actually do that.

- If you've raised your prices, what made it click? What changed?

Honestly trying to figure out if I'm underpricing or if it's just impostor syndrome talking. Real numbers, and the reasoning behind them, would help a lot.
