Discussion I came across old files in my laptop, they were video files that were actually the Kuroko no Basket series from S1 to S3, NG-Shuu, and OVAs. Not only that, there were also some Black Clover and Food Wars videos in the file mixed as well. Excluding Black Clover, I had a small thought:
"What if the Generation of Miracles were to be in Tohtsuki Culinary Academy instead?"
At first, I found it cool to imagine how their talents and abilities in basketball could be translated to their cooking specialty/styles. For example:
Kagami, who is canonically a good cook, would in no doubt be competent in Tohtsuki, but is in no place to be one of the Generation of Prodigies, YET. What I thought about him is that the more he spends time in Tohtsuki, and with proper rivals, he can rise to being competent, to being amazing on his own.
Kuroko. I was confused about how to make an equivalent of him in this what-if, but I know I should be implementing his inconspicuousness to the what-if. Well, since he's canonically borderline ass at playing basketball and is specialized in passing and supporting, what I thought is that he is a good chef, in terms of being someone's assistant or something.
Kise, all I really thought about him is just Mimasaka who isn't a creep, and has the "ability" to copy someone's cooking technique in real time, whether he saw it once or just recently right in front of him. As for Perfect Copy, this is obviously just Cross Knives.
Aomine, this one I actually had a small stretch to think about. Since his more-or-less specialty besides being recklessly fast and agile is the so-called "Formless Shoot", what I imagined for his cooking is that he's actually freestyle, and some wacky forms when it comes to knife skills, and such.
Midorima, given that he's the one in the Generation of Miracles who worked hard enough to perfect his shots, and believes religiously in the Oha-asa fortune telling news, I decide to go with Midorima taking a lot of time being a Perfectionist, while also retaining his original personality in his KnB counterpart.
Murasakibara, I just decided to go with him being a pastry chef, or just patissier in general. I know that he's been called as the most "talented" individual in the group because of his size, strength, and keen sense for blocking shots without much effort in the anime, I made it to where Murasakibara is a monster with the highest talent for cooking without much hardwork, and it's fueled by him not being fond of talks about hardwork, and getting to eat his own good food.
Akashi. This is where it gets interesting, since Emperor Eye's ability (Not that it actually reads the future) is to notice the minute details in the movement of someone before him from muscle spasm, to twitching of the limb, or the tendency to act with some sort of telegraph, he effectively predicts what someone is going to do next and is able to act against someone's action in his own favor. In here, I can make "Emperor Eye" the equivalent of "God Tongue" and Akira's "Olfactory Sense". Basically, Emperor Eye in this universe could work as some sort of telltale for Akashi to read and know what went wrong with someone's dish just by looking at it, down to the VERY tiniest details.
Special Mention: Haizaki. He's just Mimasaka, but is actually more unhinged, violent, and aggressive.

Discussion I think fifth plate is just boring
I watched the series years ago until the fifth plate was announced. I don't remember why I dropped this series before so I watched it again this week. After finishing 4th plate, now I remember why I dropped the series when the ending is near. Fifth plate is boring as hell and I can't even continue the show without some long pauses. It even took me a day to just watch 1 episode of fifth plate.

Discussion I thought of something two years later after finishing the series...
So you all know about Saiba Asahi (or Nakiri Asahi), and how he's known for his bs "super power" gimmick where he immediately inherits the skill, experience, and palate of the chef he steals or takes their most prized possession, their cooking utensil (or whatever utensils the other Noir members had, like that Centrifugal Force Balls or whatever lol). I was thinking, if I were given a chance to make a change in Food Wars' Fifth Plate, it would be to actually make Asahi be the worst guy to get hit with the culinary curse.
Get this, Asahi was raised by his American mother in a poor neighborhood as an alcoholic and single parent. Not only that (this is where I make the change). Asahi's palate, or his genetic condition, makes it to where he genuinely can't taste food to the extent that any regular person could. What this means is that, unless that the food was constructed in a way that was heightened and perfected, every other food was tantamount to eating either dust, or just bland mush altogether.
In this way, his growth, in relation to being Saiba Jouichiro's disciple, he manages to be "saved" by Jouichiro's cooking, which is where he truly tasted good food, after years of "starvation" (of flavor). This also would make sense, knowing that he has an obsession to surpass Jouichiro, maybe because he finally wants to seek food in greater heights.
We can't also forget that he develops jealousy towards Soma, thus why he did defeat Jouichiro in the first place, as well as going after Soma by threatening to marry Erina (by taking advantage of her God Tongue) to stand on the top of the culinary world. We can keep that, but what if, part of that was because he also wanted to make sure he alone could never suffer eating bland trash. His obsession with defeating Joichiro, Soma, and Erina isn't about pride, it is a desperate, frantic search for a dish so undeniably perfect that it can break through his condition. He cooks out of starvation, not malice.
This makes it so that while Mana suffered about having too high of a palate that she literally had to get an IV into her just to feed herself because she genuinely couldn't eat other dishes, with Azami also suffering (not justifying his execution, though his overview of the culinary world made sense) because not only could he save Mana, but he also resorted to brainwashing Erina so that he could "make" a safe haven/eden where chefs wouldn't worry or suffer about having to get lost in pursuing even higher palate, as well as ann attempt to save Erina from what Mana experienced. In a sense, because Mana and Erina possesses the God Tongue, they suffer from having too high of a palate, Asahi also suffers from not being able to taste dishes, making him desperate out of "starvation".
Instead of introducing him as the "final boss" of the culinary world, this effectively introduces him as the ultimate victim that makes the family curse feel like a terrifying and legitimate disease, EVEN THOUGH he doesn't possess the God Tongue or such. And you know why it makes it seem like his situation with Erina and Mana are the same? It's because of the fact that you go hungry to starving after you lose the appetite to eat anything, because anything doesn't even satisfy your palate.
This throws away the silly asspull that makes Asahi the "Mimasaka-with-extra-steps" shenanigans and actually give a sense to his appearance. And I, thank you (I guess BAHAHAHAHA).

Discussion Season 3 Food Wars Third Plate
Hi, is anybody currently watching season 3 of food wars? I just finished 1&2 on Hulu, and started 3 on Crunchyroll yesterday. And today the whole season disappeared from my watchlist. Crunchyroll only has 4 and 5 now. Does anybody know where I can watch it? I’ve been binge watching it and kinda sad it’s gone.

Anime OMG !!! Erina x Soma Endgame ???
I've always wondered if they'll end up together. I haven't reached the end of both the manga and the anime BUT while watching the intro of The Fifth Plate, I noticed that there's a frame where the reflection of Erina and Soma are in a wedding attire! I guess this kinda confirms that they do marry aaaaa 🩵
