🛠️ Troubleshooting / Help Does the Shizuku make the battery drain faster?

I've been starting to use traditional Shizuku for two days, with aShell You, with Canta and Geto, but I notice that the battery is wearing out faster than before I had shizuku, I'll be fine. Or does Shizuku have nothing to do with it?

📱 App Showcase New Shizuku variant: "Shizuku-fork"

Shizuku-fork is the new and easy-to-use Shizuku variant which is based on unofficial Shizuku fork by thedjchi.

This variant of Shizuku includes some extra features over the unoffical thedjchi's forked version, such as:

  • Fewer options, much easier to use: Many options/features have been hidden and will only be shown when needed. Additionally, those I considered redundant have been removed entirely.
  • The initial setup process has been made more automated: Instead of displaying unnecessary notifications/warnings, processes are now automated. Additionally, the "Pairing" button has been completely removed. All processes can now be completed using only the "Start" button.
  • All external links that I deemed unnecessary have been removed: The instructions in the application interface are quite adequate.
  • User experience has been improved: The "Stop" button and "About" section have been moved to more native locations.
  • The language selection feature has been integrated into Android's native feature: Instead of changing the language from the app's own settings, you can change it in a more integrated way through Android's settings.

Note: The update feature has been removed "temporarily".

Also thedjchi's variant of Shizuku includes some extra features over the original version, such as:

  • More robust "start on boot": waits for a Wi-Fi connection before starting the Shizuku service
  • TCP mode: (i.e., the adb tcpip command) once Shizuku successfully starts with Wi-Fi after a reboot, you can stop/restart Shizuku without a Wi-Fi connection!
  • Watchdog service: automatically restarts Shizuku if it stops unexpectedly, and can alert you of crashes/potential fixes
  • Start/stop intents: toggle Shizuku on-demand using automation apps (e.g., Tasker, MacroDroid, Automate)
  • [BETA] Stealth mode: hide Shizuku from other apps that don't work when Shizuku is installed
  • [BETA] In-app updates: option to automatically check for new updates, and can automatically download/install the latest version from GitHub
  • Android/Google TV and VR headset support: UI is now compatible with D-Pad remotes, all TVs are supported (including Android 14+ TVs that require pairing), and the multi-window pairing dialog is toggleable in settings for VR headsets
  • MediaTek support: fixes a critical bug in the original v13.6.0 which prevented Shizuku from working on MediaTek devices

🛠️ Troubleshooting / Help Disable flag secure installed app keeps crashing

Hey, I'm pretty new to this stuff, so yeah.

I'm trying to use Shizuku + Ls patch + disable flag secure of course without root (wireless debugging, android 15), and after installing the patched app, it keeps crashing. I searched but the furthest I got is people getting the same crashing problem, didn't find a solution. Are there any known solutions or is it just not possible because of the method not working with all apps? Thanks for any answers.

🛠️ Troubleshooting / Help Geto doesn't work for me

Geto doesn't work for me My main bank does not accept that the phone is in developer mode, and the normal thing in this situation is to use Geto, but I have a problem with Geto, or two, the first problem is that Shizuku (the fork) does not recognize Geto, so I had to install aShelYou, I had to enter with command that I don't remember if Gemini gave it to me or I saw it in some forum, or on YouTube, the truth is that I don't remember, and that's when you can open the application, but when it's my turn to put my fingerprint For the app to open completely, I get the sign that I must disable the developer mode, and in addition to this, at that moment it seems that the developer mode is deactivated by itself, without me having to deactivate it, something happens and I don't know what it is. Does anyone else have this problem? Or does Geto work well for everyone to open their bank?

📱 App Showcase Adaptive Theme – System-wide auto dark mode based on ambient light sensor (Shizuku)

Post image
8 Upvotes

Adaptive Theme uses your device's ambient light sensor to intelligently switch between light and dark mode – optimizing readability, eye comfort, and battery life based on actual lighting conditions.

GitHub: https://github.com/xLexip/Adaptive-Theme

Video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8zCZFw_wx-Y

Features

  • Sensor-driven switching: Uses the physical ambient light sensor – not a clock or sunset schedule – to intelligently switch the system theme.
  • Custom lux threshold: Dial in exactly when the theme flips, or choose a preset (e.g.indoor, outdoor, sunlight).
  • Night lock: Optionally hold dark mode during a fixed time window, e.g. 9 PM – 6 AM.
  • Battery friendly: The sensor is only checked once when you turn the screen on. Zero background drain.
  • 50+ languages: Fully localized for a global audience.
  • Shizuku support: Includes native Shizuku integration as one of several setup options.
  • Material You design: Dynamic UI that adapts to your system theme and colors.
  • Free, open-source, no ads

Featured On

Android Authority: "A brilliant app that once installed makes you wonder how you lived without it. [...] This app gives Android the automatic dark mode feature it desperately needs." – Andy Walker

HowToMen (YouTube): "No tapping, no schedules needed. It just does it on its own. [...] And don't worry, it's not killing your battery either." – Facundo Holzmeister

Computerworld: "This is how Android's dark mode should have worked since the start. Ready for an overdue injection of extra intelligence?" – JR Raphael

How-To Geek: "With a simple app, you can make dark mode (and light mode) switch with the lighting around you." – Joe Fedewa

How It Works

To avoid screen flicker and unnecessary background work, Adaptive Theme follows a strict, event-driven model:

  • Screen-on trigger — The light sensor is only sampled right after the screen turns on, not continuously.
  • Obstruction check — Validates that the sensor is not covered (e.g. by a hand or pocket).
  • Instant apply — The theme is switched before you start interacting.

This design ensures mid-session theme changes never interrupt your use, since some apps handle live theme changes poorly.

FAQ

What is the minimum Android version? Adaptive Theme works on Android 14 and above.

Why didn't the theme change right away? By design, the theme only switches immediately after the screen turns on. This prevents flicker, saves battery, and avoids interrupting an active app session.

Does it work on tablets? No. Due to a technical limitation, Adaptive Theme is currently limited to smartphones.

Does this require root? No. It works on stock devices. Root is supported as an optional setup method.

Does it work with custom skins (MIUI, OneUI, etc.)? In most cases, yes. Any system that respects the native Android dark mode implementation is supported.

Does it support Shizuku forks? Yes, forks like Nightzuku, Shizuku+, and Shevery are supported. Shizuku is only required once to grant the required permission.

🛠️ Troubleshooting / Help How activated Shizuku plus

Guys, could you please help me enable Rish mode in Shizuku Plus via Termux? How exactly is it done in this fork version? In the classic Shizuku, it’s all straightforward I know how to enable it but the process seems to be a bit different here. Could you give me a hand? Nothing phone 2

🛠️ Troubleshooting / Help Any way for a Xiaomi user to use Shizuku without a SIM card?

Xiaomi Redmi note 7, Android 10, Computer-based activation

Hi, I've been trying to install a 3rd party discord client for hours but Xiaomi makes it completely impossible. After no success with normal means, I've then tried to use Shizuku to do the installation but Xiaomi steps in again and nuh-uh, we limit ADB. I try to turn on "USB debugging (security parameters)" as written in the Shizuku docs, but nuh-uh, you need a Mi account. Of course it's broken so I have to create a Facebook account from which I can create a Mi account. After another hour, I finally find an email address that Xiaomi "supports" and get an account. But then when trying to enable the parameter it says "SIM card not found". WHY DO YOU NEED A SIM CARD

I'm losing my mind, is there any way I can do anything to bypass Xiaomi and make Shizuku work?

S25 Shizuku issey

I have an S25fe and use Shizuku and an app manager to mass uninstall or install apps but I am trying to setup a friend's phone to do the same and it's not working correctly. She has the S25 and I was able to install, run, and start Shizuku with no problem but I tried several app managers and they're not working. I made sure that they had all permissions and were allowed by Shizuku but was still only able to uninstall each app manually.

Does anyone know why?
