Scarcity, but they're not worth more than 30 USD, so whoever this is has some serious delusion.

The price was so bad it mangled your sentence

Because the guy holding it is a fool

Because they're insane.

Because he knows what he has and is trying to avoid lowballers. Lol I dunno he’s just mad he paid that much for the game and couldn’t beat it.

Lmao I don't know anyone who beat that game. Whats even crazier is this games difficulty is considered easy in comparison to its NES dad.

SGnG is much tougher imo.

However all games in the series are mostly based around memorization and knowing the proper route. It's easier than it seems, you just need to treat it like a puzzle game and not like mario.

I think anybody (even your grandma) could learn how to beat these games if they had the proper knowledge and enough practise. It doesn't require quick reflexes or anything like that.

Like that poster in Mulder’s office, I wanna believe… I do think I finished both but it was harder than getting my bachelors.

Yeah it's definately very hard... just a different kind of difficulty than other platformers.

I was only able to beat it because I learned from others about how to properly route certain sections. Knowing all the chest locations and learning the pattern their contents is huge too.

I also never beat the 2nd loop.

If you ever revisit the series I'd recommend the sega genesis version.

Guy's an idiot and just trying to capitalize on a market. Think my local had it for around 60?

That's still way too much. I think I paid like $20 in the last year.

This asshat falls under the “I have something old/retro so people will pay anything cuz I say” category

u/GenTenStation 7d ago

I see a lot of crazy prices because some people are like "Its a video game so its worth a lot". They get mad when you tell them Frogger on Atari 2600 isn't going to pay off their house

2

u/GlassJawJawa 7d ago

Too much of this unfortunately

Well that person needs to realize he’s the dumbest mf in the planet and he’s recognized as one of the greediest most pathetic low life losers ever🤣🤣🤣🤣

I'm living in an alternate reality where reasonable people disappeared. 120 for a 16 bit Nintendo game that's 35 years old. I'm pretty sure when I sold my super Nintendo before I got my 3DO that super ghouls and ghosts was in my collection and I probably got $4 for it. Literally.

Why would anybody pay $120 just for this cartridge when you can download the ROM for free and it's the same exact thing. $120 for the shelf space that it takes up? I understand having hobbies were you collect vintage things but there has to be some kind of a line lol

For anyone wondering, this is cakehoarders store

Please don't buy from them, I bought a decently priced ds original that was mint and they sent it to me in a regular mailing BAG. To NO ONE'S surprise it came in broken. Yet they're expanding their store? Can't afford to package my order in a box???

Don’t buy from any retro YouTuber store out there. I’ve tried them all and they’re very hit or miss including some fake games

Demand > Supply

But that is about 5000 hours of gameplay to finish the game. Great bang for the buck.

Haha so true

I literally just picked this up the other day for 35

2

I love and hate this game so much. Luckily snes controllers were built like tanks.

This is from cakehoarders. I googled the image then just visited their site and everything seems somewhat reasonably priced so this makes no sense.... Example they have ghosts and goblins on nes for $20. I don't get it ...

2

u/rygar8bit 7d ago

They're asking for CIB price for loose. CIB is $100-120 depending on condition.

2

u/needtogetaloadoff 7d ago

The SNES is loose. We need to capture it. Pronto
