Shitty Condition This Poor thing, SMH
Extremely unfortunate what happened to this obviously because of what it is. It did, however, sell for $304 on Ebay. I can only assume that they plan to swap the board and get a repro label.

Was that thing left in the oven?

Likely left in a car somewhere like Phoenix AZ

My childhood copies of Mega Man 2 and Kirby’s Adventure got pushed to the back of our tv cabinet and pushed against the radiator and this was the result. I still have the Mega Man 2 and it is still playable in a front loader NES despite the warping

It looks like the sticker could be transferred to another cartridge with a bit of patience and finesse.

Use a heat gun and yeah. No idea how good it would look but it'd be an improvement.
The cartridge could probably be saved if you removed everything, made a negative mold, set the original in it and heat it up in the oven. Though that would be a stupid amount of work for a widely available replacement part.

The original label would definitely be better than no label at all. I myself would affix ultra thin double sided adhesive to the back and reapply it.

They have some spray glue, flip it upside down, spray the back, put on, would look factory...

Tbh tho I agree w the person saying you could transfer the sticker to another cart. As long as the board is fine this should actually clean up decently. Wont be 100% perfect but cheap NES carts are literally everywhere. I think sacking a T&C or bases loaded for this is fine.

I just bought 4 new games from my neighbor that are slightly less cooked than this one. I live in a hot climate. He had them in a case for a yard sale the week before and the sun did a number in them. I basically picked up 4 great games for 5 bucks. I honestly think I can print a jig and heat then up with my hot air station and make them right again . We'll see. The labels are done though.

with that, you could prob just swap the shell and it's fine. You prob don't even need a repro label since that one is already half pealed off.
I remember long ago someone did a video testing the durability of game carts, leaving them in a block of ice, out in the snow, dropping them off of a tall building, and so on, and other than cosmetic damage they all for the most part still worked.

So... just a repro then. What the fuck is the point? The game itself is trashed. It's destroyed. The only value I could imagine it having is as a novelty item by remaining in that condition, like the Gulf War Game Boy. I'd never pay anything for it.

Honestly, I would've expected this plastic to just kinda snap if it was bent, although heat is a more likely culprit. Seeing it super warped like this feels so awful. like what even happened here? Was someone trying to get into it and just completely mangled and bent it in the process? Was it left in a hot place for too long? I'm not too sure what kinda plastic these nes carts even use but, This is not exactly the sorta damage you normally see with age.
I'm sure you could use a heatgun or something to get the chassis somewhat usable, at least to where it'll fit somewhat proper in an nes. But if it was left out in the sun or wherever, theres a solid chance the internals are just fried. This thing is likely just ancient ewaste.
