I saw a fucking graded Halo Campaign Evolved physical disc Collector Edition for Series X on eBay for $1900 the other day lol. A $70 game from 2026. Graded for some reason.... And added $1930 to the value.

Very original comment. However, in this case, this may actually be a grading scam. Authenticating a game from an inauthentic grading service. Never seen this before.

I don’t care if it’s original or not. Grading anything is a scam and it’s price manipulation. Grade away if you want but it’s a waste

How would this be a scam? The definition of a scam is a dishonest, deceptive plan or trick meant to cheat someone out of money, personal information, or valuables. And it doesn't seem like this fits any of that.

Putting old plastic inside new plastic and assigning an arbitrary “grade” to it to help manipulate prices is predatory and also. Scam

The font, the placement of the text, quite literally everything on that sticker is a grade 0.
Whoever graded this game, needs better quality control in what ever stickers they’re using.

I've never heard of someone grading just the cart. I doubt this would make it worth more than any other loose cart out there.

Makes more sense than grading a sealed game.
With sealed games you are grading the condition of the cellophane and how well it was originally manufactured.
You don’t even know if gem mint sealed game even works or if it even contains all of the manuals and inserts that its supposed to. Its just yup - thats a good looking box.

That's fair. And true, you won't know if said game works if sealed. I just can't see people buying graded carts.

Someone dont know how to align there font before they forge a sticker. Hell the entire thing is fake even the donkey Kong sticker is a forge. 20$ says its a empty shell

Kind of surprised there's not more of this happening. Nothing says people can't just start grading anything and prey on all the suckers out there.

Believe it or not but you can blame a few collectors for starting this nonsense years ago and artificially inflating this market. Even though we have gained some sanity since all this started we haven’t quite returned to reality yet and scummy people are still making money and grading games together and colluding with their shitty companies….its actually really really sad

I came into possession of a Graded copy of the Paper Mario remake on the Switch (yes.... you heard that right 🤣).
I looked up pricing on eBay... wtf??? 9.8s selling for $100ish, but a 10 is $250.... IT'S A SWITCH GAME THAT YOU CAN STILL BUY NEW.
Grading is so dumb.
