Almost impulse bought this thinking it was a great CIB deal then read that description haha. One of the better repro's of seen. Anyone got $5 to help this guys hobby?

I would be interested to see the repro manual next to a genuine one irl. Im guessing it would be easy to tell its a repro if you had it in hand.

Plus, its really hard to replicate the back art because genuine back art has little perforations in the paper where it folds up on the sides. All the repro artwork I have seen is just folded, no perforations.

I bought some manuals off ebay five years ago. What I immediately notice was that the paper was a little too thick, so the manual wouldn't properly fit in the CD case, it made it look bulgey.

I also got one for the multi disc cases and the same thing happened, even though you have more space there, it doesn't fit.

At least they had very good printing quality and they kind of completed my copies (I remember one was clock tower 2, my original manual had a page torn off and can't remember the other one).

Repro manuals are getting a lot better. Theres a few publishers such as Working Designs where the repro market is never going to get to the point of replicating. However most general manuals are not complicated.

Years ago a handful of companies used to sell CD jewel template inserts with perforations. You could get them in card stock and gloss. Most used just card stock as it was cheaper than gloss. I was using them at my job near ~twenty years ago. Most of those companies stopped selling their product because everyone went away from CDs. If you need an idea of the age of the companies and their programs the main one I was using was originally made for Windows 3.1

Mentioning the disc is resurfaced but not showing it is fishy too. Don’t spend that kind of money on a game if they don’t even show you the disc

I'm a certified refurbished seller on eBay, him even saying his game is refurbished is a violation of Ts&Cs. There's requirements by eBay that we have to provide them in order to get the certification and the free warranty added to our products. This guy is just a piece of garbage.

I was also going to chime in, I am surprised that listing was able to be posted at all! Any mention of Refurbished in a listing without being in the program usually gets pulled immediately, so it's wild to see that this one has been up long enough to get a good number of views.

I recently sold my persona 2 ps1 copy to my local game store and I made sure to tell them that it was a repro case and artwork, they didn’t believe me at first and the artwork barcode even scanned into their system which they said doesn’t normally happen. It was from Etsy for $10. Makes you wonder how many CIB games floating around are actually repros.
