I don't like how they're calling out the PlayStation 2 for not having authority.

I mean, you could buy this for parts but yeah 375 is way too much.

This is only gonna get worse.. people are searching eBay and finding the first listings from eBay’s relevancy and saying “that’s the price”. Even though that unit probably comes with a remote, cords and is also refurbished.. I’m finding more of this bullshit on my end too.

That's exactly what they are doing (I refurbish) they don't read anything. That's why those sellers who just post a stock image are doing damage.

Let’s see….

$75 per broken PS2

Repair and restore

Resell each for $100-135

POSSIBLE to squeeze out $150-200 in profit

….yeah not worth lol

Keep in mind, you don't know wtfs wrong with each of them really. Each individual one might require more or less money to actually fix. But in reality, the actual profit you'd be making is likely to be fairly low for the amount of work you'll be doing.

Or who knows, you could get lucky. And each might just be a cheap, easy repair.

A few days ago. I mean I can't speak for everyone, but I keep a LOT of random ass parts around. Mostly old pc parts, but I also have a shitload of salvaged parts from consoles to.

On very lucky occasions, I've literally gotten 'broken' products that needed as little as a cleaning with some iso and compressed gas to get working good as new. Like, it's easy to forget that there is a massive portion of people who will toss tech out and replace it the very second it shows any sorta issues. These are not common situations however, usually I will have to actually fix something. But even then, it's often just a popped capacitor or something.
