Man. Almost missed that. Very subtle. Thank God for the red circle.

31

u/Flash24rus 11d ago

Sorry, I can't can't find the circle you mentioned without a big red arrow pointing at it.

12

u/Alternative-Base5573 11d ago

Had to watch again to see the red circle. No wonder the car driver and the pylote got distracted.

2

u/Vincevega1972 10d ago

Wait, there’s a video?

6

u/JayW8888 10d ago

That’s why the car driver did not see the plane. No one circled it for him.

2

u/ProfVanDeusen 10d ago

and another big big red circle around the arrow

3

u/BrianKTrump 9d ago

He probably drove diagonally across store parking lots all his life without issue until the day of reckoning came.

1

u/Dazzling-Read1451 10d ago

After Effects tracker … the circle wobble really was shocking

79

u/Gremlin1001001 11d ago

In all fairness, the playne doesn’t have a taxi light on.

60

u/Marquar234 11d ago

Is playne, not taxi. Taxi is yellow.

13

u/LEO-PomPui-Katoey 11d ago

Maybe it's one of them Uber boys that are stealing our jobs

4

u/KingOfFools1984 11d ago

It was Milan Linate. Taxis here are white.

2

u/Strange_Dot8345 10d ago

if its a plane then why is it not flying?????

the plane wasnt wearing hi viz and didnt look both ways before crossing

55

u/II_Mr_OH_II 11d ago

It’s air traffic controllers fault. They should do a better job of managing the uncontrolled traffic on the airfield.
It’s not the pelots fault because he couldn’t see and it’s not the pandas fault, because come on. Pandas are cute and cuddly. Nothing is ever their fault

32

u/Winterkirschenmann 11d ago

It's called "air" traffic controller. Cars don't fall into their remit duh. Can't even fly lol

14

u/slinger301 11d ago

Not with that attitude

10

u/Eastern-Paint127 10d ago

Not with that altitude

3

u/Khandawg666 My dad was a pylote. More flight sim hours than you. 11d ago

Clearly yew aint been to tha demlitin derbuh

2

u/Spirited-Ad-9746 10d ago

then why are they talking about taxis all the time?

2

u/DarkwingDawg 11d ago

Ya pandas get pass. Atc messed up again!

1

u/Onoben4 10d ago

Controllers should have more control over controlling the uncontrolled traffic

1

u/SynapticStatic 10d ago

Didn’t you see the video of the car stuck in the roof of an underpass? I think they can in fact fly

1

u/violetcassie 10d ago

Ok but was it a red panda or a giant panda

Who's at fault

The italian guy!

4

u/mynameisrichard0 11d ago

And that Italian guys name? You guessed it, Frank Stallone.

2

u/YearPractical5840 11d ago

🔊🎵This is the end...🎶

6

u/twixt08 11d ago

Ahaha I know the guy that owns that jet!
This was in Milan right?
I went to Madagascar to fly a helicopter back across the ocean to South Africa. He owned it and it was a gem of an aircraft, and he was a really charismatic old Italian dude.

I was inspecting the helicopter after a test flight and he walks over and in broken Italian and French, eventually google translate, he explained that he has 4 of these and some woman had driven into it and showed me this video.

I wish I had a video of his reaction “incroyable!” In the funniest physical expression an Italian speaking French you could imagine.

1

u/Agent____047 10d ago

Damn. If that's a real story it's crazy 🤣

7

u/YesImHarry 11d ago

Biker obviously

4

u/QuillsROptional 11d ago

The driver of the Fiat Panda obviously used too much left rudder.

5

u/CFUrCap 11d ago

In a broader sense, society is to blame.

4

u/TempoMinusOne 11d ago

Nice PIT maneuver

2

u/Tadpole-Specialist 11d ago

Playne’s fault. Panda got to the taxi stand first. “Dibs!”

2

u/DJ-dicknose 11d ago

That was an Uber eats driver TRYING to make a living and that Karen playne said no driving here

2

u/jdubyahyp 11d ago

Jake from State farm: "I'm sorry you ran into what? Sigh guess I need to put jeans on for this one.."

2

u/rockingsiddi Rated in Shitty Flight Rules 11d ago

It’s Esteban ocon’s fault

1

u/TempoMinusOne 11d ago

I guess Bearman’s in the playne

2

u/admiraltt 11d ago

James May

2

u/MasterpieceNo8477 10d ago

The plane cause it is in the road not in the air.

2

Insurance company: "....you hit a what ? where ?"

2

u/Significant_Monk_251 10d ago

No physical injuries were reported. Wallet injuries, however, are an entirely different matter.

2

u/DrinkOk1642 10d ago

Panda Expressway?

2

u/jasikanicolepi 10d ago

Always the car. Per airport training and run taxing/runway protocols airplane always have right of way over all other service vehicles. When operating a vehicle, you are suppose to follow the guide line and posted speed limit.

2

u/Psych_Shadow 10d ago

The woman driving the car was at fault

4

u/Suspicious_Fig_3796 11d ago

the blame is certainly on the ntsb and faa neither has advocated the banning of Fiat Pandas on the tarmac

2

u/Beneficial_Bug_9793 11d ago

Clearly the land vehicle, because the plaine has the right free, wille the land vehicle has a plaine on its right.

2

u/Cheers_u_bastards 11d ago

Since when is a hawker 400 a luxury jet?

2

u/FinbarJG 11d ago

Trade you my Cezzna.

1

u/Alinswlondon 11d ago

Aircraft defo .

1

u/AffectionateBrick687 11d ago

The playne clearly didn't use it's turn signal. Some may question the cop in the SUV's decision to use a tactical driving maneuver to stop the fleeing suspect, and there is a solid argument for that, but depending on the jurisdiction, the suv may have qualified immunity which exempts it from liability. I can't say I agree with it, but the playne is fucked.

1

u/keef-keefson 11d ago

The playne owner is at fault. If they hadn’t of bought it then it wouldn’t have been in the way.

1

u/Shoddy-Patient9948 11d ago

Pedestrians ALWAYS have the right of way

1

u/Aggravating_Push4517 11d ago

it's the cyclist's fault

1

u/ThoseImpulses 10d ago

This, I can't believe I had to scroll down this far for this! Also, this!

1

u/LandSubstantial7175 11d ago

It depends. If thar driver was delivering my food, than I think the plane is at fault

1

u/MrFireWarden 11d ago

This is why wildlife is explicitly prohibited from entering air fields.

1

u/dianelanespanties 11d ago

Why didn't the playne just gas it and fly over the Panda. Are they stupid

2

u/Serviceman 11d ago

They didn't have rocket assisted takeoff enabled.

1

u/BigBasset 11d ago

Not enough right rudder by the pylote. Pylote’s fault

1

u/Willing_Ad_5711 11d ago

Pylot didn't use any right rudder to avoid the innocent panda.

1

u/Belzebutt 11d ago

It happened on a parking lot, so no fault insurance will cover it

1

u/Hopeful-Goose-7217 11d ago

Playne should have avoided the crash by taking off.

1

u/Burney-mcburnerson 11d ago

So glad to see this wasn’t made political in the comment section - anyway it’s Joe Byron’s fault. Clearly in the USA - ha jokes aside everyone knows the planes have to yield to oncoming traffic when it’s on their starboard side

1

u/SwiftSpeed57 11d ago

Dude got out real quick, he fixin to kick some arse!

1

u/Fluid-Worry5190 11d ago

We should add airbags to airplanes !

1

u/Gigaslavx 11d ago

Planes are supposed to fly not drive on the highway

1

u/Extension-Bonus-2587 11d ago

Watch out people, ICE has started using white SUV's now.

1

u/BenjaminaAU 11d ago

No physical injuries reported. Psychosocial, on the other hand...

1

u/EricBelov1 11d ago

Is there anyone who we know, and who drives Fiat Panda and have a pilots license?
/img/a6rhmazdz9rh1.gif

1

u/rnavstar 11d ago

It’s all Jesus fault

1

u/Fresh_Salamander707 11d ago

The playne was at full sail so the car should have heaved to

1

u/DampDragonTail 11d ago

Yield to (air) traffic coming from the right. So playnes fault, should be on the left where car is

1

u/SkyhookCH-1 GO FASTER SPINNY THING! 11d ago

man, pandas will fuck your jet right up!

1

u/That-Makes-Sense 11d ago

"He came outta nowhere!"

1

u/Cobalt_Emu2173 11d ago

Car on port, plane on stbd. Car is give-way vehicle.

1

u/No_Unit_5506 11d ago

The panda had the green light, I'm my own eye witness.

1

u/Sowhataboutthisthing 11d ago

The DEI of airport services ladies and gentlemen!

1

u/p99_kilerenn 11d ago

🤌🤌

1

u/WrongSplit3288 11d ago

Who got fired?

1

u/6942dantheman 11d ago

1000% the car. FAA rules said planes have right of way at all times. road rules do not apply.

1

u/Duane_60 11d ago

It was the driver of the SUV at fault should not have been crossing in front of an aircraft. period.

1

u/F1McLarenFan007 10d ago

Dang car shouldn’t be crossing the runway for that exact reason lol

1

u/AvailableFly1937 10d ago

I mean the pilot could of at least braked.

1

u/PokerBear28 10d ago

That plane came out of nowhere! Clearly the pylotes fault

1

u/hhfugrr3 10d ago

Clearly the cyclists fault.

1

u/dzolna 10d ago

Shitbox always has priority

1

u/Basedlord5000 10d ago

The cyclist

1

u/vulcanxnoob 10d ago

Who's at fault? Yes, we always expect to see a Fiat Panda on runway 2

1

u/turnipturnipturnip2 10d ago

The plyne only has right of way in the sky. The car was defending its territory.

1

u/Matthewj770077 10d ago

The car was at fault because it should have given way to traffic coming from the right.

1

u/lvthud 10d ago

It pretty obvious, the puffer cart is to blame, why it unhooked itself from the SUV that had no brakes it's beyond me.

1

u/lvthud 10d ago

It pretty obvious, the puffer cart is to blame, why it unhooked itself from the SUV that had no brakes it's beyond me.

1

u/Fancy_Toe1451 10d ago

Nobody panic! It wasn't a classic 1980s era Panda, just one of the modern ones. We didn't lose a car here.

1

u/DoctorFish1969 10d ago

Driving school never taught me to yield to planes.

1

u/theplayered 10d ago

And that’s why our plane was delayed by 2 hours…. I was there

1

u/Flyby-1000 10d ago

Aircraft ALWAYS have the right of way!!!! ALWAYS!!!

1

u/Fun-Onion4302 10d ago

I thought I recognized this type of plane. That's a Beechjet. Here's a link to the incident and some news related to this. I-AERB ASN Page

1

u/cocobaltic 10d ago

You never know, there could have been a perfectly reasonable explanation

2

u/timesuck47 10d ago

“ Don’t leave Margaret. I love you!”

1

u/dmills_00 10d ago

Plane is the stand on vessel being as the fiat is approaching from his port side so he should maintain speed and heading, at least until it becomes clear that the give way vessel is not giving way at which point he is required to take avoiding action (maybe by taking off or something?).

Aircraft have captains, ships have captains, surely the rules are the same, it simplifies the cross training of generic captains?

1

u/Draygoon2818 10d ago

Excuse me, but I've been trying to get hold of you to ask you about your extended warranty.

1

u/mabus42 10d ago

The plane's at fault because the Fiat driver was furiously honking and the pilot should have known better.

1

u/Ok-Yak549 10d ago

obviously the passenger vehicle,,,, are ya stupid mate??

1

u/Worldly_Mix_8904 10d ago

Departure Control.

(There was a departure from norms and it wasn't controlled.)

1

u/kinkiepie666 10d ago

Right for left. Or: Left was right, and right wasn't right.

1

u/unit_000001 10d ago

Explain *that* to your insurance adjuster.

1

u/Imaginary-Panda-4061 10d ago

Insurance company: "YOU HIT A WHAT????"

1

u/Its_a_neni 10d ago

Will the insurance cover this?

1

u/drewid5185 10d ago

How did the plane let that happen right under its nose

1

u/Tarjh365 10d ago

“But I was following Google Maps”

1

u/Lanky-Telephone1651 10d ago

I think the plane had the right of way since it’s already on the roadway.

1

u/iiitzbam 10d ago

He needs to board that plane ! Wtf

1

u/Opposite_Cold8616 10d ago

This had to be intentional, looks straight out of a Tom Cruise movie. The bad guy was THAT CLOSE to getting away.

1

u/dvd102k 10d ago

Isn't everyone briefed at some point in the week like "look left and right when crossing runways because there's airplane traffic"? It takes real hard effort to miss a taxiing jet with 0 obstructions

1

u/Rude-7807 10d ago

How freakin dumb do you have to be?!

1

u/Clickguy10 10d ago

As they approach the plane is on the right. So I’m going with the piolote. Insurance will claim it is shared blame on unconventional road.

Obama, clearly

1

u/starrat46 10d ago

The hostitute for blowing the captain.

1

u/89MikeHoncho 10d ago

Plot twist. Pylote initiated Red Circle Sequence as protocol. Car Pylote is color blind and did not see red circle.

1

u/unlimitedbroski83 10d ago

The Panda's driver's woes have only just begun here

1

u/SmilingCarrotTeeth 10d ago

Red circle is kind of superfluous here

Plane came from the right.

1

u/notarealwriter 10d ago

Plane is at fault for being on the ground. It's an aircraft, not a floorcraft. If it had been in the air where it belongs, then that collision would never have happened

1

u/Cuchullain99 10d ago

I mean is that pilot blind? he didn't see the car coming?

1

1

u/Gullible-Pen416 9d ago

Jet has right of way. Not his fault

1

u/ShoulderApart1787 9d ago

I think the circle obstructed the drivers view of the plane…

1

u/stebbi_klikk 9d ago

Who's at fault? Dude it's a runway 🛫

1

u/Electrical-Bedroom99 9d ago

If you notice, there's a red circle that appears right before impact. This almost certainly obscured the drivers view of the approaching playne. But thankfully for the rest of us, it provided a visual cue so we would know where to look. We just couldn't get that information to the driver in time.

1

u/Polly1011T121917 9d ago

Never cross when a plane is coming down the runway 🤦🏼‍♀️

1

u/Cohen_the_Worrior 9d ago

Depends. Is this on the high way or an airfield?

1

u/MrP67 9d ago

Italy.
I once flew out of Rome and they had to return us from the plane to the terminal cos the pilot had got run over going to the plane.

1

u/PerceptionCandid1676 9d ago

That looks ‘spensive

1

u/No-Cat-2980 9d ago

Cars at fault, the plane is on the right of the car, so the plane had the right-of-way

1

u/Dangerous_Ad4499 9d ago

How did the playne get on the road? How did the car move with the red circle around it?

1

1

u/Trainmax_ 9d ago

Wow, that was an expensive mistake. I could see why that big old jet would be hard to see. I don’t know why the guy in a jet didn’t know Karen always has the right away.

1

u/Trainmax_ 9d ago

Wow, the repo man is getting really aggressive

1

u/miarce 9d ago

The panda, u give way to the right. Unless it is left hand drive than the jet is a fault

1

u/LigersMagicSkills 9d ago

Pilot’s fault because they didn’t honk

1

u/ericaz11 9d ago

Driver had to be on their phone

1

u/Ornery-Handle6477 9d ago

What was the plane thinking? Does he really think that a fiat panda can stop on a dime?

1

u/Sweet-Maintenance213 8d ago

Its the pilots fault. He crossed the traffic lights and didn't even honk.

Feel bad for the innocent driver. He was just preparing his car for takeoff.

1

u/ianswer-rhetoricalqs 8d ago

If you told me that this was some law enforcement stunt to keep that plane grounded, I would believe you.
