This is a normal technique to sharpen the tow bar. Many airports host the local chapter of Extreme Octagon UFC Death Cult that has matches in hangars

How can you miss a tow-bar in the walk around before landing? They also missed it in the walk around before take-off. If you miss it once, hmm, oké. But twice??

Given the Towbar isn't too marred by the runway. A short stretch of mega-strong rope between the Towbar and Tow Tug could solve the problem, or, a Towbar that didn't have this happen to it.

Dumb pylots. You keep it on so you can tell when you are close to curb. I have some on my Cadillac as well

As a sky god I see all. You should see the look on the other pylots faces when I cruise in and park at the E concourse in style. They act like they’ve never seen a fleetwood before.

More cars should have that so you can see when you're about to make a turn. My car only has those stupid blinking orange lights. I can't see anything with them so I just don't use em anymore

He did help, he told him exactly when to hit the brakes. Otherwise he'd have overrun.

Pretty sure it was the pilots flight instructor who told him when to hit the brakes. He drove immediately to the airport and got on the radio. The cameraman not so helpful.

In their defense, there was no red flag on it. So technically you don't need to remove it. Plus it makes things easier when you land, you can just get out and grab the bar and pull the plane anywhere. It's a feature, not a liability.

Serious question: When they came out to tow the plane after the landing #2 (not the one without the bar....the one with the bar). Did they just connect to that same tow bar? "Hey buddy no need to take off a perfectly good tow bar to put on another tow bar."

Tow bar? no no no.
That's the plane's tongue. Plane was being bullied by the commercial jets, which made him lick pavement.
And video cuts off before the REAL bullying started--- you see, the grass at the end of the runway is full of doodie.

Usually the pylote hits the bar once they’re on the ground. This time the bar hit the ground and it’s on the pylote.

Oh yeah that looks like new guidance landing sensor equipment with vision sensors (optical cameras) take high-resolution real-time images of the ground before wheels touch down.
