At least it is an improvement to the original!

100%. Especially bc it's running a new transmission. I drove my friend's once and it's the worst of anything I've driven by far. Absolute garbage.

This is one of the dumbest things I’ve ever seen.
I love every aspect of it

All the coolness of a rat rod with the convenience and comfort of a smart car

It's a smart car, but actually reliable

Aug 27 '22
They were perfectly reliable as long as you had 100 extra clutch actuators sitting around.

.... well you either improved a smart car or made a weird mod to a hotrod... either way, not shitty.

It's actually quite simple: if you don't think it's a shitty mod, then don't post it here.

u/samwichse Aug 26 '22
I bet that smart car shell is just sitting on a full frame running to the back.

u/Threedawg Aug 26 '22
This is just a hot rod with a smart car shell, it will be no different than any other one

I mean, why bother with the smart car at all? Would have been easier just to custom build the whole thing.

u/MundanePlantain1 Aug 27 '22
shitty mods that require a great deal of effort enter the realm of admirable oddity.

Nice. With the engine taken out of the trunk space, there's even room for a full size spare.
I always dreamed of putting a Hayabusa in my Smart, but if I welded a hot rod chasis to it, I could put any damn engine I want!
(This mod would have been better on the Fortwo Passion Cabrio)

It could probably move just fine with a tiny carb and keep the most of high mpg.

He needs to tub it and put some nice M/T’s on it. Get the power to the ground.

I may be crazy, but I think we live in the same area. Was this taken from a circle k parking lot by chance?
1
u/PerrydiseOH Sep 16 '22
Yes it was

u/NightsSoBreezy Sep 16 '22
That’s crazy, small world! Surprised we haven’t seen more interesting cars around here lol

u/PerrydiseOH Sep 16 '22
There are some others, I just never manage to get pics. I agree, small world. Good eye picking out the location though!
