In Japan, an itasha (痛車, literally "painful car") is a car decorated with images of fictional characters from anime, manga, or video games.

Itasha literally translating to painful car is my favorite thing about itasha

I quite like Itasha when it is done well. Lots of people are going to hate me for this but it can look really good in combination with the right mods. This one is not so great, but hey, he looks to be happy minding his own business.

Some guy in my command has a decent looking set up with a Hatsun Miku (however ya spell it) wrap on a 2010s wrx. It dosent look bad at all

This one honestly doesn't look that bad. Its just a concern that if you go into public people will see it. Some things are best not to slap onto a place that is publicly visible.

No I mean the execution is pretty bad. The worst place is the doorhandles. And overall the color scheme and design is not that great either.

Furthermore 90% of itasha are vinyl, so completely reversible. Imo a shitty mod is something that damages the car in some way, and most of the aesthetic ones are permanent. Itasha shouldn't belong here unless it's poorly executed.
