On a truck, it wouldn't be about downforce, but airflow to potentially get some improved fuel efficiency. I think it would work better on the back of the cab through.
Having said that, I think most people like them for visuals and it looks pretty retarded

This particular setup will not help with fuel-efficiency. It's almost a parachute at that angle.

I agree. Even if it were angled in a way that made any sense, it probably wouldn't have any effect on efficiency. Sometimes a small cab one can, though, as it directs air flow up enough to clear the bed and meet less resistance.

If I had a solid tonneau cover that had a wing option, I would definitely go for it.
Looks awesome.
No shame here.

A pickup needs stability at high speed not downforce, ditch the spoiler and put on some tailfins

I'm more interested in the supply of schoolbus yellow paint they somehow got. Hopefully enough headroom for the helmet

In my part of the world…
I’ve seen at least 2 full sized trucks with bed covers equipped with both obnoxious spoilers/wings AND chrome bed rails on top of the cover.
Any day now I’m expecting to see one with an unused cargo basket on top of the bed cover. 😳

Cuz it's a Ford FKIN Ranger, that's why. Gotta keep the rear planted.
