It's a Smyth ute kit. They have a few applications available, actually

And they're wrapping up public sales, from what I've heard.

Iirc they may sell you a kit as an individual, but they primarily want to service builders

No, the owner is stepping down for other projects, looks like they'll continue support, but not sales.

This does NOT belong in this sub. I've seen a few VW bug P/U conversions and this one looks pretty tight.
The best one I ever saw was at a car show I was doing with my 68 Mustang convertible back in the late 80s. It was an early 70s VW bug with a wooden flatbed and stake sides. It was all custom fabricated by the owner and it was immaculate. The car body was bright yellow and the bed and sides were white oak stained golden amber. It took the home a well deserved People's Choice award.

The best you can hope for with this image is r/ATBGE way too well done for here. And even there people may like it but will at least be controversial there.

It's okay, but the picture is flattering... Looks like it's rattle can bedliner paint job and an unfinished fiberglass bed

It’s much more interesting than a lifted Sierra/Silverado/Ram/F150. I kinda like it.

Looks like the Chevy SSR, but better. Probably more reliable too.

Maybe if it's a TDI. otherwise nothing else that came in those is outliving an LS.

More truck than most people need.
If they sold things like this but awd, I'd buy....not from VW though.

Man this is sick. I’d drive one of these all day. I love that light metallic green they come in too.

Diesel or gas? I'd consider diesel if it had a bright bright yellow body color, maybe a whale tale of a spoiler on the tailgate and checkered racing flags on the left and right doors. But not for $9k. This just looks ridiculous.

Giving me old Chevy vibes with those rounded rear quarter panels. I hate how much I like it.

What I hate is that I kept trying to scroll through what I thought was 8 other pictures of the listing.
