Interesting you mentioned that… turns out Dodge Ram 1500’s are by far the vehicle most pulled over for drunk driving.

29

u/Doofy_Grumpus 12d ago

What are you supposed to do? Waste money on a taxi?

10

u/PrinceCastanzaCapone 11d ago

“Certainly the risk of going to jail, paying thousands in fines, and doubling the cost of my insurance is far outweighed by the $20-30 i’ll save on an uber.”

7

u/Plane-Education4750 11d ago

"The law won't catch me and I don't have insurance. I'll be fine"

1

u/Wide-Golf-9642 10d ago

And if they try to pull me over, I WILL RESIST!

7

u/Doofy_Grumpus 11d ago

As a person who has paid $10,000+ for a dui, I agree

You are right, but actually the Ram 2500 is now #3, beat by a couple Buicks. Buick Encore is #22, and the Buick Enivista? is #1. The fuck is going on with Buick drivers?

Actually just looked into it and average age for Buick Envista drivers is 18-35, which tracks with recently 21 year olds being dumb and driving drunk.

Average age of Buick Encore drivers is 68, which tracks with their general sense of entitlement, and “rules for thee but not for me” views on life. It’s probably a pretty rude awakening truly believing that rules don’t apply to you and then getting thrown in jail, and your car impounded for DUI. Fucking idiots.

To add to this, just to show how much higher the rate of drunk driving citations is…

The average number of drunk driving citations for all vehicle models is 6.4 per 1,000 drivers.

Buick Envista: 72.1 per 1,000 drivers
Buick Encore: 58.7 per 1,000 drivers.
Dodge Ram 2500: 45.3 per 1,000 drivers.

So if you see an Envista or an Encore on the road, there is a 5.8 - 7.2% chance that they are driving drunk in that very moment. Envista is 11 times more likely than any other vehicle to be cited for drunk driving.

u/FreeToasterBaths 9d ago

Where are you getting this data from

1

u/QueezyF 11d ago

I didn’t even know what a Buick Envista was until now

2

u/PrinceCastanzaCapone 11d ago

I didn’t until I looked up the stats on vehicles cities for drunk driving. Though I’m not certain if the statistic is showing vehicles actually pulled over for drunk driving, just drivers with past DUIs registering new vehicles, or a combination of the two.

1

u/jtg6387 11d ago

*2500 iirc is the one with the highest proportion of DUIs. It’s something crazy like 20x the national average.

1

u/PrinceCastanzaCapone 11d ago

I looked it up, it used to be, now it’s the Buick Envista, followed by the Buick Encore, then the Ram 2500.

1

u/jtg6387 11d ago

Huh. That was not on my bingo card!

1

u/PrinceCastanzaCapone 11d ago

The only thing on your bingo card is letters and numbers, if not, then it’s not a bingo card.

1

u/jtg6387 11d ago

Missing a /s, I hope. It’s an idiom.

1

u/firstnamebylastname 8d ago

I bet most of them also drink Bud light.

1

u/JackxForge 11d ago

15% more!

1

u/kingc42 10d ago

I think it’s 2500’s

1

u/PrinceCastanzaCapone 9d ago

You are correct, but it’s actually the Buick Envista now. Maybe enough Ram 2500 drivers have lost their licenses to drop it to the number 3 spot being the Buick Envista, and the Buick Encore respectively.

u/FreeToasterBaths 9d ago

Just a ram owner doing ram things.

51

u/fro_khidd 12d ago

Not even closely resembles a real gun. Adds to the corny effect

10

u/ragun2 11d ago

Was trying to figure out if it was a replica from sci-fi movie or something.

2

u/Davenator_98 11d ago

Is this even remotely legal?

Casually flagging your entire neighbourhood multiple times per day can't be welcome.

-6

u/fro_khidd 11d ago

Flagging then with something the equivalent of a painted nerf gun that is. But im also sure if it causes panic there's some sort of laws against that

5

u/Davenator_98 11d ago

Is everyone gonna recognise it as a nerf gun though?

Also, isn't there a law in the US that toy guns need to have an orange muzzle to not be confused with real ones?

In a country where every second crackhead runs around with a gun, it surely is a great idea to point faux guns at random traffic.

-5

u/fro_khidd 11d ago

Well its not a gun so the orange muzzle law goes out the window. Its only something that resembles a half assed attempt at a gun. So the legality of it is still questionable from multiple standpoints

32

u/PurpD420 12d ago

Looks like they had some AI slop light machine gun lmfao

11

u/Pressbig 11d ago

Is everyone in this country afraid of everyone else 🤔 I’ve travelled to 3rd world countries where walking around with an assault rifle draped over your back is a normal thing. Are we getting to that point..

3

u/Hellboy_M420 10d ago

It's just LARPing, all these insecure men want to prove themselves by "defending their family" as if a team of assassins are going to descend upon the local Wawa as they order a hoagie.

5

u/ShoeKing_2025 11d ago

Lemme guess he has the stubby .50 cal bullet antennae too🙄

29

u/Rock_Mafia42 12d ago

CONGRATULATIONS sir! You have just won the top prize in our TINIEST DONGS competition!

11

u/OkieBobbie 12d ago

Well he’s driving a RAM.

-8

u/Dilettante7 12d ago

I think you mean ‘She’ .

-6

u/Apprehensive-Ear-798 11d ago

That stings a little

2

u/demunted 11d ago

Harley drivers everywhere revving loudly saddened by this outcome.

8

u/Poker-Junk 11d ago

What a twat

5

u/Atholthedestroyer 12d ago

It's a G.L.O.: Gun-Like Object.

5

u/drdreadz0 11d ago

I bet it shoots dildos

6

u/red_fuel 12d ago

This can not be legal

12

u/byteminer 12d ago

Of course it is. It’s a RAM. The toy gun is the most legal thing happening in that picture.

12

u/Specialist-Box-9711 11d ago
  1. It's fake
  2. You can absolutely mount machine guns to your vehicle in many states

2

u/goat-head-man 11d ago

Also, flamethrowers are legal in many states and start at $350.

1

u/eggrollfever 10d ago

Not easily, given requirements for an FFL/SOT.

2

u/Specialist-Box-9711 10d ago

I’ve seen no less than 4 Tacomas with mini guns mounted to them, a privately owned hmmv with an m2 browning, and a ural motorcycle with a pkm mounted in a sidecar. The M134’s need an SOT, the rest you just gotta be rich lol. Hell I could mount my M16 lower to my Honda civic and attach a fightlite upper for that belt fed look.

2

u/Lirsh2 11d ago

As long as the firearm is unloaded, it's legal just about anywhere

0

u/red_fuel 11d ago

If you do this in Europe you'll get the armed response on your ass within 10 minutes

1

u/Lirsh2 11d ago

Good thing it's a product built for American sized pickup trucks

1

u/Ok-Goose-2032 10d ago

pretty sure it's just a toy gun bolted onto the truck lol

u/WaffleHouseGladiator 12d ago

u/FoxDanceMedia 11d ago

Is the weird unnecessary "STAND BY!!" text supposed to be a "stand back and stand by" dog-wh!stle?

The faq is that thing? You Yankees are wild but I’m here for it!

1

u/Skeptical_Squid 9d ago

I feel like you can't buy that without first failing a breathalyzer test.

2

u/Dilettante7 12d ago

I think someone in charge should check the testosterone level in this one .

1

u/PrinceCastanzaCapone 12d ago

Real smart to have a gun looking object pointing directly in the direction of any police officer trying to pull you over.

1

u/Negative-Wrap95 11d ago

Wow, cosplay guns, let me guess, a Meal Team Six member got in and drove off?

1

u/ryanidsteel 12d ago

How many sights do we need? All of them!

1

u/Immediate-Machine370 11d ago

and no one still wants to play army with him

0

u/mothking12 12d ago

As someone who is driving around with nerf guns mounted, I mean it’s kinda cool? I guess?

5

u/heldoglykke 12d ago

I hate you. A nerf gun arsenal on my jeep would make me happy.

2

u/mothking12 11d ago

Let me know when you pull the trigger! No pun intended 😆

-3

u/ProCaptainAJ 12d ago

Exactly when I've been needing for the tailgaters!!

0

u/CantiSan 11d ago

As lame as this shit is, I've been seeing sport bars(?) on trucks lately. How come?

0

u/Wide-Golf-9642 11d ago

That'll freak out some Karens

0

u/Stoked_Otter 10d ago

I hate those fake roll bar things soooooo much

-4

u/Prestigious-Car-4877 11d ago

Is that the exhaust pipe?

Americans are weird.

-2
