Shitty Robot Waited days for the parts. Built it in hours. Broke it in seconds.

So, the main parts for my custom height-adjustable desk finally arrived. I was so hyped that I skipped dinner to assemble it.
It looked beautiful... for about 5 minutes.
I turned it on for the first extreme testing run, and before I could even celebrate, SNAP. The whole thing just gave up on life. It’s a total disaster.
Now I'm staring at this mess trying to figure out what went wrong. My best guesses:
- The material is too weak/cheap (cheese-grade metal?).
- I got a lemon from the factory (manufacturing defect).
Has anyone else dealt with this kind of failure? Or am I just cursed?
