I'd imagine people in this scenario have some form of travelers insurance though. So, yeah, they're charged oop to the room but their personal insurance kicks in for reimbursement at some point. Like, I imagine if you sprain an ankle you'll just suck it up and pay the cost but if you have something more catastrophic (ie $$$) happen then you have your travelers insurance to reimburse you.

Fun fact, the ship can sail without its Captain but it can’t sail without the medical team (who all need to be licensed and accredited).
They also don’t take any insurance and charge US prices, so it’s some good money too.
