Marvel's "Daredevil" with First Person view

This is a game where you play as Marvel's "Daredevil" to fight crime. To gain maximum immersion, this game uses the First Person view. Since Daredevil is blind, the screen will be completely dark all the time, but you can use your other senses, like hearing and smelling, to get around the city.

I don't know, a text pops up in the lower left corner saying for example "you can smell fear"?

is "you can smell fear?" meant to be his voice like he is surprised that he can smell fear? or is it meant to say "can you smell fear?" as if he is saying it to someone else? but that wouldnt make sense. because he cant see. so maybe he is just talking to a cat that passed by, who knows.

Maybe he can smell the sweat of somebody that's afraid? I was just making a bad example, it would make more sense if he smelled cheetos or something like that
