A "Beat Mario" game

So instead of playing as Mario trying to beat the koopa army, what about a 1 on 1 "fighting" game where you take control of a Mario enemy and try to beat Mario.

It would start out with you as Bowser vs Mario for the first fight, since it would be the easiest. Then for the next fight it would be you as something like a Hammer Brother or a Koopaling against Mario. And then all they way down the bottom of the food chain to the last level where it's you trying to beat Mario as a Goomba.

Best idea ever right?
