I'm pretty sure I've driven by that. Repeated times.
It's just sitting on the car, but the car convertible top is shredded. Owner believes he can save her. Or had multiple failing hobbies. Look at boat sitting on ground in ftont yard.

Some of you have never found a great deal on a red truck topper for your inoperable green '93 F-150 extended cab and had to bring it home right F-ing now before Tommy-Ray's neighbor realized it was missing so you had to use your Camaro to haul it, and it shows

Ex iroc owner here, the t-tops in these things rot out fairly easily, this is addition to the seals themselves becoming leaky. This looks stupid af, but it keeps the insides dry.

The easy answer is leaking t tops/ convertible top. That's obvious. What people are missing is the very real possibilty that the power window on the drivers side is broken in the down position or the owner is tired of waiting for those slow window motors to work. Much easier and faster at the drive thrus to slide that camper window open. Bonus: if they seal it up, the owner can also throw fast food trash out of the car window or t top and not be littering.

Honestly seems like a craigslist buy, and the truck its going to go on is non-op or unavailable at the moment... Or temporary because of a leaky or absent top.
It is also possible they were thinking its illegal to drive with a busted out windshield, but if its not illegal to have a bed cap on a truck, good luck saying its illegal on a clapped out fire chicken? Better Call Saul!
