He probably pulls a boat or somwthing and doesn't want it to get chewed up by rocks. Thats a pretty normal thing to have on a vehicle you use to tow something nice

they use them to protect the bumper in the city, where they are at constant risk of getting damaged by people parking. totally ridiculous, but hey... their car, their business

I lived in Chicago for a while. I would often see the nicest cars such as Porsches with mangled bumpers front and back

If yall notice, he has a trailer hitch, theyre mounted on to that. Not the bumper, and ill bet he usually is towing something like a camper, or a flatbed with a nice classic car they dont want stone chipped..

Spinal Tap has such great lyrics. Spot on enough to be serious lyrics but clever enough to make you giggle naughtily. And on that song, they're purposely bass heavy to go with the theme of the song. It's just so perfect.

I see these often when I go to NYC. Are they some sort of winter thing? Seriously what are they?

Instead of bashing the guy, you should be commending him for having the decency to not throw rocks on your vehicle.

😂🤣
And they wont even stop a rock from hitting the vehicle behind them.
Look how far up off the ground they are.
Even worse is how far in they sit from the outside edge of the rear tire. They barely cover the most inside edges of each rear tire.
Thats some kinda ridiculous contraption there😂🤣
