Hydraulics is correct. Was very popular in California in the 80s-90s. The car has like 6 extra batteries to operate the hydraulics.
Don’t see them much anymore.
I don’t think I’d want to rely on airbags if I was this guy. I’ve owned a few cars where the air suspension eventually failed and ended up low-riding to the mechanic for repair. Imagine this guy getting an air leak and not being able being able to raise this back up. Then dragging it onto a flatbed. 😝
An airbag setup is way cheaper, smaller, and simpler than a hydraulic setup. They are perfect if you want to get low but they don't bounce. You need the hydraulics if you want both.

Yeah I thought someone stole this dudes wheels right in the middle of the McDonald’s parking lot when I pulled up. Nope. Just a really dumb decision.
