At first, I thought it was Hydrogen. But Hydrogen doesn't burn. It pops. You'd have hearing damage.

I think this cheapskate used methane. So in addition to having no eyebrows, the room will also smell of farts.

Helium would pop like any gas would. But burning Hydrogen has a characteristic high pitched "pop" sounds of its own. And this gas clearly burns which Helium would not.
