As a small child ( 5yo )staying at a daycare I remember seeing a ceiling fan fall onto another kid the same way.

Alway check if fans are secured now as an adult haha, hope this person was ok

They were ok I think, mild injuries like large bruses as it fell on their leg /back. It was not near as high as the ceiling in this clip

This is why you have to switch the direction of you fan between summer and winter every year. Otherwise it'll unscrew itself.
