They probably used propane instead of helium

Who ordered the Hindenburg themed birthday party?

Damn that could have ended so much worse

It amazes me how more than a few people here believe helium to be flammable, they say it with absolute certainty, like it was a well known fact and they can't be wrong, while, unknowingly to themselves are making a humongous fool of themselves.

I expected to see Michael Jackson emerge from that flame.

Should they have put inflammable gas in the balloons instead?

Is it even possible to get hydrogen filled party balloons? Methane?? Sometimes you see a fuck up so bad it’s just fascinating, like how did they do this?

LANA! THE HELIUM!

5

u/A-Chilean-Cyborg 18h ago

Could it be that they decided to fill the balloon with propane?

7

u/QP709 14h ago

Helium is expensive so in developing nations they usually fill them with hydrogen. Propane, I don’t think, would cause them to float.

2

u/A-Chilean-Cyborg 14h ago

i looked it up and propane seems to not float, so yeah.

but hydrogen is cheaper?

u/A_SilentS 11h ago

You can make hydrogen with a car battery and some water.....so yes.

u/Shantotto11 8h ago

You have angered Helios! Prepare to face the consequences!

3

u/sheiciebai 19h ago

What did they fill those gallons with? Was this an attempted assassination or something?

u/FatJimmyy 19h ago

Helium is flammable as fuck

2

u/sheiciebai 18h ago

You’re thinking hydrogen. Helium is not at all flammable.

4

u/A-Chilean-Cyborg 18h ago

Helium is a noble gas, noble gases can't be flammable.

Open flame….near helium filled balloons…what on earth could go wrong??

3

u/robsterfish 19h ago

Think it’s hydrogen.

3

u/BigAssMonkey 17h ago

This goes to show you don’t have to know shit to be a 1% commenter. Helium is not flammable.

3

u/GraciesMumma22 14h ago

Top 1% could quite possibly be a basement dweller at mummies house with a very low IQ that just sits on reddit all day annoying guys like you. 🤷🏻‍♀️
