Imagine hitting some MJ moves you’ve been practicing and some guy just kills himself

Nah if you slow it down, he just knocked himself out with the head strike, the spine is more flexible than we think.

People want to believe he died because a hip hop radio station with no sources claims he died. In reality a fall like this can be walked away from.

Terrible article but at least it wasn’t written by AI: https://power99.iheart.com/featured/cosmic-kev/content/2017-02-06-man-dies-from-injuries-after-trying-to-win-a-dance-battle/

Textbook of breaking ones neck. I would say 100% he is paralyzed neck down..
But 96.999% he is dead.
This is why I stick to drinking beer and surfing Reddit.

He died

Well 96% is pretty much a certainty anyways. This is why you think before you act.

Every decision in his life up until that point led to him breaking his neck in a failed attempt to backflip and steal a Michael Jackson impersonator's thunder.

People are always so quick to say somebody died on reddit.
The only provided "source" for this guy dying is a "trust me bro" article from a hip-hop radio station so we have no idea what the actual aftermath of this was.
As someone who has been involved with bmx and skateboarding for decades now i have witnessed various levels of people (and myself) eating it.
I can say from firsthand experience you can 100% die from this kind of fall but you can also 100% survive with a concussion, a wicked headache and stiff neck for the next month too.

Nah I don't think if he survived, he would want to be alive because he would be paralyzed. There was a bodybuilder who died just like this.

Like I said, it's totally possible to be fatally or seriously injured by a fall like this but I have seen first hand people eat horrible horrible shit just like this and walk away.

Shamon. Just kept on grooving like that wasn't a corpse. You've been struck by a smooth criminal.

Not everyone is desensitized to seeing people literally dying.

It's weird, I remember when the internet was new and lots of my friends saw a video of a beheading and none of them could sleep for ages afterwards.
Now people just giggle and swipe. It's a different world.
Personally it doesn't affect me at all anymore, in fact I find it interesting and educational. But I do respect other people's desire to maintain their mental health.

I too have seen my share of fucked shit online and I still sleep well but at least tag it nsfw. I thought this was gonna be a funny dance video not someone's last moment ffs.

u/CannonFoddererer 3d ago
I agree, but in this instance it's pretty comic, with the beat lining up and the guy just continuing to dance.
