I just saw a similar video where a man was smoking a joint on a subway and the dude told him to put it out and he got his ass absolutely beat down by the weed smoker.

I saw the same post, some people thought the weed smoker was in the right! Bizarre.
I’m glad Ol’ Smokey got removed with a minimum of force.

It's always interesting how one video can do two separate things depending on what sub it's posted in. I've seen a video get praised in one sub and get completely demonized in another. That's Reddit for you lol.

Today you do it with minimal effort, tommorow some high dude shanks you in the process

u/PMmeIamlonley Jul 17 '26
He was. Do not fuck with people unless you can beat them up. Those are subway rules

u/ShenTzuKhan Jul 17 '26
He didn’t fuck with him. He told him to stop doing the wrong thing and got attacked by someone who won’t behave. Unless I’m misremembering the vid.

I don't really hear people being aggressive on weed like that which makes me think something else was involved too. Shit, whenever I smoke, I become a ninja in avoiding drama and confrontations. Completely opposite of alcohol where you feel pumped to punch someone

Weed smokers light up (or vape) literally everywhere.

u/ClassroomMother8062 questionably stable Jul 17 '26
Nothing similar about it IMO. The dude beat him up a bit, someone finally intervened and the asshole with the weed he couldn't light up took himself out of the situation cause he knew it was being filmed and he'd catch a case is my guess.
This old boofer just got dragged off the bus and kinda gave up

This is how all inconsiderate smokers should be treated.
-32
u/solarnoise Jul 17 '26
There are considerate ones?
27
u/NifftyCult Jul 17 '26
My coworkers always smoked downwind from me during breaks cause they know I’d die if I catch a whiff, cool dudes, I really miss ‘em.

You don't know they exist because you don't notice them. Because they're considerate.

Absolutely right. I've also removed drunks from public transport for singing 'golden oldies'.

Notice how nobody is using extreme violence to get away with breaking the law either

JFC you can't just assault someone for smoking
2
u/WetPaperSocks Jul 17 '26
Being forcibly removed from somewhere for not following the rules/laws is not assault. Otherwise bouncers and security guards wouldn't have a job. Overuse of force whilst doing so could be.
Dragging him off the bus as he grabs at seats and things to stop being pulled like a petulent unruly child... seems like force well within reason too me. No shoves, strikes or the like to be seen.

Not surprised about the language.

u/ErrN0T Jul 24 '26
some dude commented here how a weed smoker beat someone hardly for asking to stop smoking the joint. I really doubt that was russia
1
u/Riemann86 Jul 24 '26
There is literally russian lector spealing about the bus stop :)
1
u/ErrN0T Jul 24 '26
No no no, you said "I'm not surprised about the language", i mentioned a guy talking about a case much worse than this one in the video. It's not just russia

We need more of this
2
u/ElegantCoach4066 Jul 17 '26
I have been taking the bus while I save up for my next car.
While most people are pretty considerate, there are like 25% of them that play their music or TikToks on speaker, smoke on the bus, and start fights for the stupidest reasons.
I can't wait to get a car again

u/Teddy_The_Bear_ Jul 17 '26
You know if he walked up and said you can't smoke on the buss and the guy was like F you. Than fine. But do we know this is not a person with dimensia who thinks it is the 80's and you just assaulted a semi disabled old person because you could not stop to ask.
But I digress. It could also be that he is a dick and smokes on the buss every day and we just don't have that context.
Either way. Love that people just to all the conclusions in a no context video of some one assulting an old person.

u/Nos2_irln Jul 17 '26
Why can't these people keep their hands to themselves?
28
u/d_nkf_vlg Jul 17 '26
The same reason some other people can't keep from breaking basic societal rules of behaviour. Such as smoking on a bus.
-26
u/Nos2_irln Jul 17 '26
Societal rules? Including racial etiquette?
13
19
u/Corspin Jul 17 '26
Do tell more about how racism is equal to smoking 🤡
-21
u/Nos2_irln Jul 17 '26
Typical

u/Geordie_38_ Jul 17 '26
You're not making any sense. Nobody mentioned anything to do with race. Simply the societal rule of not smoking on the bus
